American flag with President Obama's image sparks outrage at Florida Democrats
An American flag with President Obama's image in place of the stars flew over a Florida county's Democrat headquarters long enough to enrage local veterans who called the altered banner "a disgrace."
Lake County Democratic Party officials took down the flag, which flew just below a standard Old Glory on the flagpole outside headquarters in Tavares following complaints by local veterans. But merely taking it down wasn't enough for several local veterans, who said they fought for the flag Betsy Ross made famous, not one with a politician on it.
This is a new low even for democrats!!

Part of $11M grant for Detroit job seekers only aided 2
To receive clothing, residents were required to have a job interview scheduled. According to the audit, the DHS was supposed to help 400 people between October 2010 and September 2011 but instead served only two."The DHS was only able to provide the auditors with two referral forms signed by two clients documenting that they received clothing from the boutique," the audit said. "Eligible Detroiters are not being served with available clothing being stocked in the boutique."The department did not give a reason for not reaching the goal of providing 400 people with clothes.The audit found the Department of Human Services hired a contractor to run the boutique. The contractor negotiated the purchase of clothing without involving city officials and did not give them keys to the center.The contractor also did not provide proof of the receipt of the clothing to auditors."The potential loss of housands of dollars exists because controls have not been established for the boutique," the audit said. "…failure to maintain an adequate inventory system results in the inability to efficiently monitor and safeguard inventory and to identify inventory losses from theft and damages."

Pelosi Vows to Stand With Obama Against Catholic Church | Vision to America
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) vowed today that she will join with the Obama administration in standing up against the Catholic Church in defending a new regulation that will require Catholic individuals to buy, and Catholic institutions to provide, health insurance plans that cover sterilizations and artificial contraceptives, including those that induce abortions.

Where Not to Eat: Chipotle CEO Allies w/ La Raza, Lobbies for Immigration Amnesty
If you like Mexican-style fast food but support a secure and safe America, don’t eat at Chipotle. I already told you, months ago, about Chipotle’s knowing employment of thousands of illegal aliens, which it was forced to fire, after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) investigations showed that in many cases, more than half of its employees were illegal aliens. There is no way that, when more than half your employees are illegal aliens, you don’t know about it. Now, Chipotle’s “co-leader” (that’s testicle-less liberal psycho-babble for “CEO”) Monty Moran wants immigration amnesty, and he’s allied with the reconquistador illegal alien lobby to do it. Is that really the definition of “food with integrity,” as Chipotle proclaims its product to be? That’s despite the fact that for every single opening he has at his restaurants, there are 30-40 applicants. The problem is that many of those are U.S. citizen applicants. And–ya know–we can’t have that in America . . . Americans being hired for the jobs that Americans supposedly “just won’t do.”

Preparations by DNC operatives for the 2012 election make it clear for the first time that the party will explicitly abandon the white working class
All pretense of trying to win a majority of the white working class has been effectively jettisoned in favor of cementing a center-left coalition made up, on the one hand, of voters who have gotten ahead on the basis of educational attainment — professors, artists, designers, editors, human resources managers, lawyers, Librarians, social workers, teachers and therapists — and a second, substantial constituency of lower-income voters who are disproportionately African-American and Hispanic.
It is instructive to trace the evolution of a political strategy based on securing this coalition in the writings and comments, over time, of such Democratic analysts as Stanley Greenberg and Ruy Teixeira. Both men were initially determined to win back the white working-class majority, but both currently advocate a revised Democratic alliance in which whites without college degrees are effectively replaced by well-educated socially liberal whites in alliance with the growing ranks of less affluent minority voters, especially Hispanics.

Newburgh’s credentials to make such an authoritative statement?
I ought to know, because I'm a detective on the Chicago Police Department…
That is, he was. He wrote this article half a century ago.

As a law enforcement officer, I wish that every honest citizen owned a gun and knew how to use it. I wish there were more shooting organizations, more arms practice by civilians- men and women. I'm not in the least afraid of a gun in the hands of an honest, competent citizen. That citizen and his gun could make my job a lot easier.
An old Texas Ranger visiting New York City was once asked what he'd do to check big city crime. He said, "I'd teach the police to shoot, first. Then I'd arm the honest people and teach them to shoot. It was straight-shooting lawmen aided by armed and straight-shooting citizens who broke up the tough gangs in the old days. It could work today."
It was citizen resistance that smashed the Jesse James gang at Northfield. What town, I wonder, is similarly ready--for today's hoods?

Woman in Labor Survives PA Lynch Attempt
Palestinian Authority terrorists continued their attacks on innocent Jewish motorists over Yom Kippur, this time attacking a woman in labor and her husband as they rushed to the hospital. The husband, Ariel Goldman of Pnei Kedem, told Arutz Sheva that the two were lucky to escape with their lives.
Their ordeal began near Har Homa at 2:30 a.m., as they drove to Hadassah Ein Karem hospital in Jerusalem. Suddenly, they encountered a point in the road that had been blocked by large stones.
As Goldman slowed the car, looking for a way around the trap, several Palestinian Authority terrorists jumped out and began to hurl rocks at the car.
The attack turned into a game of cat and mouse, as Goldman looked for ways around the rocks and tried to keep moving, while the terrorists followed the car and continued to pelt it with heavy stones, using a tactic that recently resulted in two deaths near Hevron.
The terrorists “had murder in their eyes,” Goldman said.He finally managed to pass the stone barrier and speed away from the group of attackers, only to encounter a second group that attempted to stone the car near the Jerusalem neighborhood of Talpiot. Goldman managed to speed away a second time.
A policewoman he later encountered appeared uninterested by his story, but promised to notify her superiors, he said.Ariel Goldman and his wife managed to reach the hospital, where she gave birth to a baby boy. Both the baby and mother are in good condition.

2012 Presidential Matchups - Obama 39% Cain 34%
Herman Cain did well in last week’s GOP debate and won a decisive straw poll victory in Florida, but his numbers in a general election match-up against
President Obama are little changed.A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds that Obama earns 39% support while Cain attracts 34%. In that match-up, 14% prefer some other candidate, and 14% are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.) A month ago, the president led Cain by seven percentage points. In March Obama held an 18 point advantage over the businessman and talk show host.

Blacks File Class Action Racial Discrimination Suit Against Obama & Democrats
On September 11, 2011, blacks from the West Coast and the East Coast joined together and signed one of the most comprehensive legal briefs ever prepared on racial discrimination, then filed their brief today, September 12th, at 9:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time in US District Court in Seattle (Case No. C11 - 1503). The plaintiffs, who refer to the defendants as “Father of Racism,” allege that as an organization, the Democratic Party has consistently refused to apologize for the role they played in slavery and Jim Crow laws and for other subsequent racist practices from 1792 to 2011. Rev. Wayne Perryman, a former Democrat himself and the lead plaintiff in this class action lawsuit, said he was inspired to file this action after seeing the recent movie The Help. The movie takes place in the region that was exclusively controlled by Democrats for more than 150 years (the South). Mrs. Frances P. Rice, the Chair of the National Black Republican Association is also a plaintiff in the lawsuit. Mrs. Rice is a resident of Sarasota, Florida and has lived in the the South most of her life.

Joseph P Spor
In August 2001, eight years after joining the New York City Fire Department, Joseph P. Spor Jr. transferred into Rescue 3 in the Bronx.It was where he belonged all along.Spor, the youngest of six children and the only boy, had finally caught up to his namesake father, who was also a firefighter and also a member of Rescue 3, also known as Big Blue.It had taken the younger Spor a while to get there. After graduating from Iona College, Spor became a Manhattan financial analyst. But office work never really suited him, and in 1994 he switched careers, joining Ladder Company 38, also in the Bronx.Away from the firehouse, Spor worked with his hands as a contractor, building decks and cabinets. He put his talent for carpentry to work at his own home in Somers, N.Y., where he and and Colleen, his wife of nine years, were raising four children, ages 6 years to 9 months. One of his final projects was a playroom for the kids.An avid weightlifter, Spor was in such terrific shape that his fellow firefighters believed he was darn near indestructible.The 35-year-old firefighter was in the south tower of the World Trade Center when it collapsed.

Insurer: Ground Zero Mosque Money Man Robbed us Blind
The NY Post is reporting that Hisham Elzanaty, the money man behind the Ground Zero mosque grifter, Sharif El-Gamal, was involved in a $5.1 million insurance scam.
Atlas readers are very familiar with the Elzanaty thief. Elzanaty, who was the man who provided most of the funding for the Cordoba Mosque (newly named "Prayer Space") building, was a large contributor to Hamas.
Hisham Elzanaty donated thousands to the Holy Land Foundation, later shuttered by the feds because of its Hamas ties. Muslim Brotherhood fronts CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, MAS, et al, were named un-indicted co-conspirators and Muslim Brotherhood fronts in the Holy Land trial (the largest terror funding trial in history).
"Criminals, crooks, fraudsters, thugs and terrorist apologists. Nothing suspicious ...... Rauf could eat a baby live on MSNBC and they still would call stopping him 'un-american.' 'The baby was attacking him.'"

Iowa Caucus: Bachmann, Romney and Paul on Top
In the Iowa caucus race for the Republican presidential nomination, five candidates are in double digits, and many voters are open to changing their mind
before caucus day arrives.
The first Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Iowa’s Likely Caucus Participants shows that Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann attracts 22% support, while former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney earn 21%. Just slightly behind is Texas Congressman Ron Paul at 16%, followed by Texas Governor Rick Perry at 12% and former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty at 11%.

States court California companies - Jul. 12, 2011
Buffeted by high taxes, strict regulations and uncertain state budgets, a growing number of California companies are seeking friendlier business environments outside of the Golden State.
And governors around the country, smelling blood in the water, have stepped up their courtship of California companies. Officials in states like Florida, Texas, Arizona and Utah are telling California firms how business-friendly they are in comparison.
Companies are "disinvesting" in California at a rate five times greater than just two years ago, said Joseph Vranich, a business relocation expert based
in Irvine. This includes leaving altogether, establishing divisions elsewhere or opting not to set up shop in California."There is a feeling that the state is not stable," Vranich said. "Sacramento can't get its act together...and that includes the governor, legislators and regulatory agencies that are running wild."
The state has been ranked by Chief Executive magazine as the worst place to do business for seven years.
"California, once a business friendly state, continues to conduct a war on its own economy," the magazine wrote.
It's so hard watching my state being run into the ground by the Dems & Unions all just to enrich themselves!

Senator Considering Special Prosecutor for Obama's Gun Walker Scandal
Sen. Charles Grassley, (R-Iowa) ranking member on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said on a radio interview today, while he’s not calling for a special prosecutor to investigate Operation Fast and Furious, the failed operation to track guns across the Mexican border, he would be supportive if Chairman Darrell Issa, (R-Calif.) of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform called for one.
In the interview on the Steve Gill Show, he had a couple of other interesting things to say.
Subjects: Operation Fast and Furious, border violence, U.S.-Mexico border, ATF, Project Gunrunner, President Obama
He said three things came out of the interviews with Ken Melson, the Acting Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
1. It wasn’t just an ATF operation. FBI and DEA were involved and knew about the operation.
2. This wasn’t controlled by ATF, the U.S. Attorney in Phoenix was in charge.
3. Contrary to the information the investigators had been given by letter, everyone inolved knew guns were going across the border.
