...At the news conference held in Beirut, French Foreign Minister Phillippe Douste-Blazy praised Iran as a “stabilizing force in the Middle East.” Douste-Blazy told reporters that Iran "is an outstanding country with great people and an honorable civilization. It has a crucial role in the region.”
Iran is the primary patron of the Hizbullah terror organization, which has fired close to 1,800 Katyusha missiles at northern Israeli communities in the past 20 days, killing 19 civilians and injuring hundreds more.

s senior international correspondent Nic Robertson admitted on Sunday that his anti-Israel report on civilian casualties in Lebanon was stage-managed from start to finish by Hizballah terrorists..."
CNN continues with it's standard practices of obfuscation and duplicity. Nothing new here.

This might be the jawdropper of the day, as today’s report from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon shows that the United Nations is busily repairing damaged roads in Hizballah-controlled areas—roads the IAF bombed specifically to impede Hizballah movement—right in the middle of the war. (Hat tip: mich-again.)
UNIFIL is still facing serious restrictions in its freedom of movement due to the ongoing hostilities and the extensive destruction of roads and bridges throughout the area of operation. Yesterday, a UNIFIL engineering contingent from China managed to do some repairs on a key road artery between Tyre and Naqoura, and the road is now usable for traffic. However, more road destruction was reported in various areas in the south.

Join the campaign to force Kofi Annan out.
The Secretary General has led the most corrupt administration in U.N. history and stood idly by as his minions allowed billions of dollars to be funneled to Iraqi Dictator Saddam Hussein through the Oil for Food program. U.S. taxpayers like you and me provide 22% of the U.N.'s operating budget, and we deserve accountability. In an effort to preserve the rights of Americans, the Center for Individual Freedom is leading the campaign to end Kofi Annan's mismanagement of the United Nations.

“I came to the conclusion that the hostile comments about Israel on these liberal blogs are not coming from true liberals. Most of the anti-Semitism comes from racism and most of the racism I have experienced has come from the far right, not the left.
“So my conclusion is that the bloggers who violently hate Israel and see it in black and white terms are not really liberals. They may even be anti-Semites, but they are not representative of the liberal community that was so active in achieving racial and ethnic equality. It is a contradiction for a true liberal to be an anti-Semite.
Furthermore, I would not put it past the right wing to flood the liberal blogs with hateful criticisms of Israel to advance a perception that liberals are anti-Israel or anti-Semitic. And I see Karl Rove’s fingerprints all over this.”

Who out there is for getting the legilasture back to part-time so they don't have as much time on their hands to come up with so much junk? Arnold Schwarzenegger was talking about in 2004. I haven't heard much about it since.

I never thought the next bullet might come from a Palestinian.
--Majdi Arabeed, owner of Al-Hurriya, Palestinian radio station in Gaza
You can always count on Islamo-fascists to go after each other. This time, it's HAMAS issuing death and dismemberment threats against Palestinian media outlets. Which begs the question: Why does the world expect any peace with them if they can't even get along with each other?
And there's another question that should be asked: Where is the Mainstream Media (with the exception of USA Today) in exposing HAMAS' death threats to Palestinian "journalists"? You know--the same Mainstream Media, which constantly attacks Israel.

Up to six pieces of debris that could be foam insulation fell off Discovery's troublesome external fuel tank minutes after liftoff Tuesday, a top NASA official said. Officials cautioned, however, that it was too soon to know whether the debris struck Discovery and that the pieces came off later than would normally endanger the shuttle...
"About two minutes and 47 seconds give or take (after the Discovery launch), we saw three perhaps four pieces come off (the fuel tank)," said shuttle program manager Wayne Hale, adding that it was unclear whether it was foam or "something else."
"We also saw another piece or two come off at about four minutes 50 seconds," he told reporters at the Kennedy Space Center.
