Islamic Indoctrination in our public schools

This type of indoctrination is exactly what leads to subjugation which Islamic extremists have already publicly stated is their goal. Americans have come to be tolerant of many things but when a culture war is being waged in our public schools, it is time to say ENOUGH. Concerned parents need to get involved in their local school councils

Gas at $4.00 a gallon and climbing. Who's to blame?

Thanks to the enivironmentalist lobby and its influence on Democratic legislators in Congress, the U.S. has, for decades, been prohibited from drilling for oil in places that we know contain billions of barrels of proven reserves.

Check out this map:

All of the "NO" zones are places where the U.S., thanks to the Democratic Party, is prohibited from drilling for oil.

But wait, it gets better.

***China, Cuba, Canada and others continue to drill off our shores where US companies are not allowed to drill because of Democratic policies!

Yes, that's right. China and Cuba are actively exploring oil fields 50 miles from Key West, Florida while U.S. companies are barred from working in this area because of U.S. policy . So, instead of allowing the most environmentally responsible companies to operate there and increase our domestic supply, China, who has a dismal environmental record, is preparing to suck our close, lucrative oil reserves dry.

Unbelievable!

Investor's Business Daily recently explained just how irresponsible the Democrats have been on the energy crisis. They lay into what they consider to be the worst Congress ever for...

~ Failing to allow drilling in ANWR. We have, as President Bush noted, estimated capacity of a million barrels of oil a day from this source alone -- enough for 27 million gallons of gas and diesel. But Congress won't touch it, fearful of the clout of the environmental lobby. As a result, you pay through the nose at the pump so your representative can raise campaign cash.~ Refusing to build new refineries. The U.S. hasn't built one since 1976, yet the EPA requires at least 15 unique 'boutique' fuel blends that can be sold in different areas around the nation. This means that U.S. refinery capacity is stretched so tight that even the slightest problem at a refinery causes enormous supply problems and price spikes. Congress has done nothing about this.~ Turning its back on nuclear power. It's safe and, with advances in nuclear reprocessing technology, waste problems have been minimized. Still, we have just 104 nuclear plants -- the same as a decade ago -- producing just 19% of our total energy. (Many European nations produce 40% or more of their power with nuclear.) Granted, nuclear power plants are expensive -- about $3 billion each. But they produce energy at $1.72/kilowatt-hour vs. $2.37 for coal and $6.35 for natural gas.~ Raising taxes on energy producers. This is where a basic understanding of economics would help: Higher taxes and needless regulation lead to less production of a commodity. So by proposing 'windfall' and other taxes on energy companies plus tough new rules, Congress only makes our energy situation worse. These are just a few of Congress' sins of omission -- all while India, China, Eastern Europe and the Middle East are adding more than a million barrels of new demand each and every year. New Energy Department forecasts see world oil demand growing 40% by 2030, including a 28% increase in the U.S.Americans who are worried about the direction of their country, including runaway energy and food prices, should keep in mind the upcoming election isn't just about choosing a new president. We'll also pick a new Congress…

Global Warming Myth of a “Scientific Consensus” Shattered

Environmental extremists routinely assert a “scientific consensus” that global warming is occurring, and that human activity somehow causes it. This week, however, over 31,000 scientists spoke up and reduced that myth to a smoldering rubble.

TIZA, CAIR, And Deception

Be sure and read the article!!

Yesterday we emailed you the KSTP News story about how the director of TIZA (Tarik ibn Zayad Academy) in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, assaulted a KSTP News crew.
As you may recall, two months ago news stories broke raising questions about TIZA, a tax-funded charter school, impermissibly advancing Islam. TIZA’s director denied all the allegations.
This past Monday the Minnesota Department of Education notified TIZA that it must correct two of its practices that do in fact amount to an impermissible advancement of religion in the school.
In a totally unrelated story, a movie theater in Irvine, California, canceled a screening of a film depicting convicted terrorist Sami Al-Arian as a modern-day Socrates who has been falsely imprisoned by our government. The theater canceled the event after public pressure was exerted. News reports indicate that the theater was misled as to the purpose of the screening as well as who was behind it.
(To read the full story, click here.)
According to the special events coordinator for the movie theater, the two women who contacted her to arrange for the screening dubbed it as a “college student film.” What’s more, the theater was never informed that the event would be a fundraiser for Al-Arian’s legal defense fund or that CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) was a co-sponsor.
What connects these two seemingly unrelated events (TIZA’s non-compliance with the law and the screening of the anti-American film about Al-Arian) is the lengths to which militant Muslims seem willing to go to deceive people about what they do.
TIZA will not allow members of the press into its facility and its director physically assaults a news cameraman. What is TIZA trying to hide? CAIR misleads a movie theater about a movie it wants to show. What is CAIR trying to hide? For those familiar with the Islamic doctrine of taqiyya, it is hard not to conclude that what is going on in instances like these amounts to deliberate deception in order to advance Islam.
The other element that connects these two events is a watchful public and press that pushed these deceptions into plain view. It is Thomas Jefferson who deeded us one of the more profound truisms of American history when he wrote, “The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.”
One of the compelling reasons for ACT! for America to launch our recent petition drive can be summed up in Jefferson’s words. Two different studies have found materials in nearly 100 different American mosques that include calls to Jihad, or incitement of violence, or calls for the abolition of our constitutional government. We cannot afford to look the other way. We cannot afford wishful thinking that hopes these materials are harmless diatribes.
1,400 years of history reveal that the call to Jihad typically leads to violent Jihad. 270 million people have died at the hands of Islamic militancy during those 1,400 years. Entire cultures, conquered by Muslims, no longer exist. Countries like Great Britain are now dealing with large radicalized populations of Muslims in spite of bending over backwards for years trying to accommodate Muslims in their countries.
Here in the United States, the freest country in the world with the greatest respect for human rights of any nation in the world, polling data shows that 26% of Muslims under the age of 30 believe suicide bombings are sometimes justified.
For the sake of our security and our liberty, we cannot afford to be complacent, and we must not allow ourselves to be deceived. There is simply too much at stake.
If you haven’t yet signed our petition calling on Congress to conduct hearings to examine extremist materials in American mosques, please click here to do so today.

Kafir Dreams

Here is a great interview about "moderate Muslims" and other misstatements about Muslims.

Below is an outtake:

Warner: “Moderate Muslim” is a perfect example of the muddle and incorrect terminology that kafirs (unbelievers) use.

This term is intended to describe a Muslim who doesn’t seem dangerous or advocate violence. But “moderate Muslim” is a non-Muslim name, one that kafirs made up.

The doctrine of Islam does talk about the different kinds of Muslims. The measure of a Muslim is the Koran and the Sunna. Anyone who follows these teachings is a moderate Muslim, by definition.

Islamic doctrine defines what is moderate and not moderate. Since we are dealing with Islam, we need to know that the doctrine is dualistic. Islam can have two doctrines about any issue. This follows from the Koran. The early Koran, which was written in Mecca is generally religious. The Koran written in Medina is very political and includes jihad. The two Korans are not only very different, but they also contradict each other in major ways.

So we have the possibility of two kinds of moderate Muslims, since we have two doctrines. Osama bin Laden is a moderate Muslim, who follows the Koran of Medina, the Koran of jihad. Kafirs call him an extremist or radical Muslim. Actually, Osama obeys the Koran of Medina and the Sunna of Mohammed, so he is a moderate, pious Medinan Muslim.

The jihadists on September 11, 2001 were all moderate Medinan Muslims. They were not extremists or radicals.

The other kind of moderate Muslim follows the Koran of Mecca and he is more generally what kafirs mean when they say “moderate Muslim”. But how moderate is a Meccan Muslim? A moderate Muslim thinks that you are a kafir, but he isn’t violent, just antagonistic.

FP: So tell us exactly what “kafir” means. We take it to mean unbeliever but I presume it is more complicated than that.

Warner: The usual translation of this Arabic word is unbeliever, but unbeliever is only a very small part of its meaning. It is the Koran that defines the word “kafir” and it says the most terrible things can happen to them. The Koranic doctrine about
kafirs says they are hated and are Satan’s friends. Kafirs can be robbed, killed, tortured, raped, mocked, cursed, condemned and plotted against. The Koran does not have one good thing to say about kafirs. (There are some psuedo-good words, but more about them later.)

For over the last 1400 years, 270 million kafirs have died as a result of the political doctrine of Islam. It is the biggest single source of suffering in the history of the world.

The word kafir is the worst word in the human language. It is far worse than the n-word, because the n-word is a personal opinion, whereas, kafir is Allah’s decree. Nearly two thirds of the Koran is devoted to the kafir. Islam is fixated on the kafir and the moderate Muslim thinks that you are a kafir. How moderate is that?

The Great Global Warming Race

Here's a great article from Junkscience.com.

Can global warming’s vested interests close the deal on greenhouse gas regulation before the public wises up to their scam? A new study indicates alarmist concern and a need to explain away the lack of actual global warming.

Researchers belonging to the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reported in Nature (May 1) that, after adjusting their climate model to reflect actual sea surface temperatures of the last 50 years, “global surface temperature may not increase over the next decade, as natural climate variations… temporarily offset the projected anthropogenic warming.”

You got that? IPCC researchers project no global warming over the next decade because of Mother Nature.

Although the result seems stunning in that it came from IPCC scientists who have always been in the tank for man made global warming, it’s not really surprising since the notion of man made climate change has never lived up to its billing.

Obama Distorted Rev. Wright's Background

Another reason not to trust Obama!!!!

In an interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, Barack Obama again fabricated the background of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright to try to excuse his longtime pastor’s denunciations of America and of whites.

Wright grew up in a racially mixed, middle-class section of Philadelphia called Germantown, which consisted of homes on broad tree-lined streets. Both his parents had good jobs: His father was a pastor; his mother was vice principal of Philadelphia High School for Girls.

Wright was privileged to attend the elite Central High School, which admits only the most highly-qualified applicants from all over the city. When Wright attended Central High, the student body was 90 percent white, according to students who attended at around the same time.

Shock! Muslim 'condemns' Rep. Myrick's sensible anti-terrorist plan

This is from Act for America:

Dear Bruce,
As predictable as the sun coming up in the East, a spokesman for an Islamic organization has condemned Congresswoman Sue Myrick’s “Ten Point Plan” to wake up America to the threat of Islamic terrorism.
Just as predictably, the “condemnation” makes no attempt to refute the plan or make a factual case against it. The reason, as so aptly pointed out below, is that the Muslim spokesman cannot refute the plan. Thus, the “condemnation” consists of the same tired, worn-out, name calling and ad hominem attacks that are standard fare for Islamic apologists. It’s an age-old propaganda technique – if you can’t refute the message, try to destroy the messenger.
We should be encouraged by this lame attempt to smear an honorable Congresswoman. It should motivate us to work even harder to spread the truth about Islamofascism far and wide! The more people see the truth, the more they will recognize that those who try to defend militant Islam have nothing to offer except, well, fear-mongering and name-calling.
Shock horror: Muslim leader condemns Myrick anti-jihad plan!
http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/020830.php
"'Myrick's latest attempt at fighting terrorism is nothing more than a fear campaign,' said Jibril Hough, a spokesman for the Islamic Center of Charlotte. 'It is nothing more than a new McCarthyism, or Myrickism. As Muslims, we have become expendable as politicians like Myrick seek political gain.'
"Myrick said she wants the group to give a point-by-point rebuttal of her plan."
Yes, that would be most interesting. What could Jibril Hough say? Let's go through the Myrick Plan and see:
1. Investigate all military chaplains endorsed by Abdurahman Alamoudi, who was imprisoned for funding a terrorist organization.
Alamoudi is doing 23 years for funding jihad terrorism. Is it possible that some of the military chaplains he endorsed shared his jihadist views? Can Jibril Hough explain why not?
2. Investigate all prison chaplains endorsed by Alamoudi.
Same question as for #1.
3. Investigate the selection process of Arabic translators working for the Pentagon and the FBI.
An FBI whistleblower has reported that Arabic translators there cheered the 9/11 attacks. Can Jibril Hough explain why this should not be a cause for concern?
4. Examine the non-profit status of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations has had several of its officials convicted on jihad terror-related charges, and was named an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas funding case. Can Jibril Hough explain why its tax-exempt status should not at least be examined?
5. Make it an act of sedition or solicitation of treason to preach or publish materials that call for the deaths of Americans.
Objections, Mr. Hough?
6. Audit sovereign wealth funds in the United States.
If these funds may be used to conduct warfare against the U.S., what exactly is Mr. Hough's objection?
7. Cancel scholarship student visa program with Saudi Arabia until they reform their text books, which she claims preach hatred and violence against non-Muslims.
It is demonstrably true that they do. Does Mr. Hough endorse this?
8. Restrict religious visas for imams who come from countries that don't allow reciprocal visits by non-Muslim clergy.
This is simply in the interests of mutual tolerance and understanding, is it not, Mr. Hough?
9. Cancel contracts to train Saudi police and security in U.S. counterterrorism tactics.
Given ongoing Saudi financing of the global jihad, what exactly is Mr. Hough's objection?
10. Block the sale of sensitive military munitions to Saudi Arabia.
Same question as #9.
But I doubt that Hough will provide a point-by-point refutation, for the same reason that John Esposito will not debate me. What can they say?
"Muslim condemns Myrick plan: Senator says she welcomes dialogue on anti-terrorism proposal," by Jim Morrill for the Charlotte Observer (thanks to Twostellas):
A spokesman for a Charlotte-area Islamic group Monday accused U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick of leading a "fear campaign" with her proposal to curb the expansion of radical Islam.
Myrick, a Charlotte Republican, proposed a 10-point "Wake Up America" plan this month that, among other things, calls for investigations into the selection of the Pentagon's Arabic translators and some Muslim military and prison chaplains.
"Myrick's latest attempt at fighting terrorism is nothing more than a fear campaign," said Jibril Hough, a spokesman for the Islamic Center of Charlotte. "It is nothing more than a new McCarthyism, or Myrickism. As Muslims, we have become expendable as politicians like Myrick seek political gain."
Myrick said she wants the group to give a point-by-point rebuttal of her plan.
"I'd be glad to have a dialogue with them," she said. "The whole point is that we're trying to get people to work together."
Myrick's proposal has also drawn criticism from the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations. One of her proposals was to investigate the group's nonprofit status....

Hamas MP/Cleric's Friday Sermon: We Will Conquer Rome, the Two Americas, and Eastern Europe

Here's a little something for all you nuts out there who don't think muslims are a threat to us to read.

In a Friday sermon that aired on Hamas' Al-Aqsa TV on April 11, 2008, Yunis Al-Astal, Hamas MP and cleric, told worshipers that Rome, "the capital of the Catholics, or the Crusader capital," would soon be conquered by Islam, just as Constantinople was. It then, he said, would become "an advanced post for the Islamic conquests, which will spread through Europe in its entirety, and then will turn to the two Americas, and even Eastern Europe."

The following are excerpts from Al-Astal's sermon:
To view this clip, visit: http://www.memritv.org/clip/en/1739.htm .
To view Al-Aqsa’s MEMRI TV page, visit: Http://www.memritv.org/content/en/tv_channel_indiv.htm?id=175 .
To view Hamas’ MEMRI TV page, visit: http://www.memritv.org/subject/en/95.htm .

Yunis Al-Astal: "Allah has chosen you for Himself and for His religion, so that you will serve as the engine pulling this nation to the phase of succession, security, and consolidation of power, and even to conquests thorough da'wa and military conquests of the capitals of the entire world.

"Very soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered, just like Constantinople was, as was prophesized by our Prophet Muhammad.

"Today, Rome is the capital of the Catholics, or the Crusader capital, which has declared its hostility to Islam, and has planted the brothers of apes and pigs in Palestine in order to prevent the reawakening of Islam. This capital of theirs will be an advanced post for the Islamic conquests, which will spread through Europe in its entirety, and then will turn to the two Americas, and even Eastern Europe.

"I believe that our children, or our grandchildren, will inherit our jihad and our sacrifices, and, Allah willing, the commanders of the conquest will come from among them.

"Today, we instill these good tidings in their souls - and by means of the mosques and the Koran books, and the history of our Prophets, his companions, and the great leaders, we prepare them for the mission of saving humanity from the hellfire at whose brink they stand."

Alert about Obama from African missionaries

Not sure if I'm just spreading a rumor here but I have heard parts of this e-mail before where they talk about him talking to his cousin everyday in Kenya.

Thousands of people have been displaced by election violence (over 350,000) and I don't know the last count of the dead. Obama under "friends of Obama" gave almost a million dollars to the opposition campaign who just happened to be his cousin, Raila Odinga, who is a socialist trained in east Germany. He has been trying to bring Kenya down for years and the last president threw him in prison for trying to subvert this country! December 27th elections brought cries from ODM (Odinga Camp) of a rigged election. Obama and Raila speak daily. As we watch Obama rise in the US we are sure that whatever happens, he will use the same tactic, crying rigged election if he doesn't win and possibly cause a race war in America.

For the Record: Seriously, What is the FBI Doing?

As I love to say "Government Stikes Again"

In February, we exposed the latest FBI (and CIA) outrage, advertising for recruits in a pro-terrorist, anti-American magazine, the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs (WRMEA) - (see: Looking Under a Rock: FBI and CIA Hit New Low in Recruitment Drive). Both of our top national security agencies had placed online advertisements on the webpage of a magazine that included a hagiography to a terrorist the FBI had worked almost a decade to investigate and prosecute, Palestinian Islamic Jihad operative Sami Al-Arian.

Just over a month later, it is clear that the FBI has learned nothing. The agency is advertising for recruits in the Arab American News, another publication with a long history of support for terrorism, terrorists and terrorist organizations.

As California Goes, So Goes the Nation

Have you seen what those loons in the California legislature are up to now?

The California legislature is currently voting on AB0401, a seemingly innocuous alteration to the licensing regulations that govern real estate here. But, as usual, the ramifications will be unexpected and monstrous. The stated purpose of AB0401 is to clarify the relationship between RESPA law and non-monetary remuneration between licensed real estate agents and non licensed participants in real estate transactions. Here is the key section:

All transactions following under the penumbra of RESPA shall heretofore be subject to review and restatement. No value shall pass or be caused to pass between a licensed broker or licensed sales associate of said broker and any non-licensed agency before or after such time as a real estate transaction may occur. Transfer of value is to include, but not be limited to: all forms of currency, any property or asset of value, any service of value and any intellectual property of value. (emphasis mine)

I am already reading pundits this morning here in California describing all online websites and blogs as intellectual property of value. So what does this mean to the
average agent, loan officer, title rep, etc? It means that if you are syndicating your posts to another person’s site, or posting on another person’s site and that site has the stated or implied purpose of generating real estate business, you are in violation of RESPA regulations and subject to fine and/or loss of license.

Gun statistics you seldom see

Now for an article from one of my favorite Orange County Register reporters Gordon Dillow.

It was the sort of incident that never makes it into the official crime statistics – that is, an incident in which a crime may have been prevented by a firearm.

It happened earlier this month in Irvine. Police were looking for a man suspected of raping an 18-year-old woman in her home. As the cops searched, the fleeing suspect, a 27-year-old L.A. gang member, tried to hide by breaking into another home. Inside, the homeowner, a man who had recently undergone defensive firearms training, heard the commotion, grabbed a handgun and confronted the suspect.

The FBI believes its agents still aren't sensitive enough to Muslims and their culture, so the bureau has extended by "a few weeks" its Islamic cultural "enrichment" training program, WND has learned.

During a recent outreach event at a Washington-area mosque, FBI officials also reassured a large turnout of concerned Muslims that the bureau is not profiling Arabs and Muslims for terrorism, and has made investigating alleged "hate crimes" against them and other minorities "the second-highest priority in the criminal division of the FBI."

Last I checked, murder is against the law everywhere. No one intent on murder will be stopped by the prospect of committing a lesser crime like illegal possession of a firearm. The intellectuals and politicians who make pious declarations about controlling guns should explain how their gunless utopia is to be realized.

While they search for — excuse me — their magic bullet, innocent people are dying defenseless.

That's because laws that make it difficult or impossible to carry a concealed handgun do deter one group of people: law-abiding citizens who might have used a gun to stop crime. Gun laws are laws against self-defense.

ADOPTION OF ISLAMIC SHARIA LAW IN BRITAIN IS 'UNAVOIDABLE', SAYS ARCHBISHOP OF CANTERBURY

Is this guy NUTS? It's like they can't wait to wipe out our Western Civilization! When is this PC crap gonna end?

The Archbishop of Canterbury has today said that the adoption of Islamic Sharia law in the UK is "unavoidable" and that it would help maintain social cohesion [emphasis added].
Rowan Williams told BBC Radio 4's World At One that the UK has to "face up to the fact" that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system.
He says that Muslims could choose to have marital disputes or financial matters dealt with in a Sharia court. He added Muslims should not have to choose between "the stark alternatives of cultural loyalty or state loyalty".
Dr Williams said there was a place for finding a "constructive accommodation" in areas such as marriage - allowing Muslim women to avoid Western divorce proceedings.
Other religions enjoyed such tolerance of their own laws, he pointed out, but stressed that it could never be allowed to take precedence over an individual's rights as a citizen.
He said it would also require a change in perception of what Sharia involved beyond the "inhumanity" of extreme punishments and attitudes to women seen in some Islamic states.
Dr Williams said: "It seems unavoidable and, as a matter of fact, certain conditions of Sharia are already recognised in our society and under our law, so it is not as if we are bringing in an alien and rival system.
"We already have in this country a number of situations in which the internal law of religious communities is recognised by the law of the land as justifying conscientious objections in certain circumstances."
He added: "There is a place for finding what would be a constructive accommodation with some aspects of Muslim law as we already do with aspects of other kinds of religious law.
"It would be quite wrong to say that we could ever license a system of law for some community which gave people no right of appeal, no way of exercising the rights that are guaranteed to them as citizens in general. Sharia law in Britain would provide Muslims with an alternative to our divorce courts
"But there are ways of looking at marital disputes, for example, which provide an alternative to the divorce courts as we understand them.
"In some cultural and religious settings, they would seem more appropriate."
But his views were condemned today by senior Tory MP Peter Luff, who said: "This is a very dangerous route which we should not go down. You can't be a little bit pregnant. You can't have a little bit of sharia law [emphasis added].
"We should not start introducing new different legal systems alongside ours."
But the Archbishop defended his position saying people needed to look at Islamic law "with a clear eye."
"They should not imagine, either, that we know exactly what we mean by Sharia and just associate it with ... Saudi Arabia, or whatever," he continued.
"Nobody in their right mind would want to see in this country the kind of inhumanity that has sometimes been associated with the practice of the law in some Islamic states: the extreme punishments, the attitudes to women."
There were questions about how it interacted with human rights, he said.
"But I do not think we should instantly spring to the conclusion that the whole of that world of jurisprudence and practice is somehow monstrously incompatible with human rights just because it doesn't immediately fit with how we understand it."
Dr Williams said Orthodox Jewish courts already operated in the UK, and anti-abortion views of Catholics and other Christians were "accommodated within the law".
"The whole idea that there are perfectly proper ways the law of the land pays respect to custom and community, that's already there."
He said the issue of whether Catholic adoption agencies would be forced under equality laws to accept gay parents showed there was confusion on the matter.
"That principle that there is only one law for everybody is an important pillar of our social identity as a Western democracy.
"But I think it is a misunderstanding to suppose that means people don't have other affiliations, other loyalties which shape and dictate how they behave in society and that the law needs to take some account of that."
He said he accepted people might be surprised by his call but urged them to consider the wider question.
"What we don't want is a stand-off where the law squares up to people's religious consciences, on something like abortion or indeed by forcing a vote on some aspects of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill in the Commons ... we don't either want a situation where, because there's no legal way of monitoring what communities do, making them part of the public process, people do what they like in private in such a way that that becomes another way of intensifying oppression within a community."
Sharia law was originally more enlightened in its attitude to women than other legal systems, he pointed out, but did now have to be brought up to date.
"But you have to translate that into a setting where that whole area of the rights and liberties of women has moved on.
"The principle and the vision which animates the whole Islamic legal provision needs broadening because of that."
Responding to comments by one of his senior bishops that Islamic extremism was creating communities with "no-go areas" for non-Muslims, he said it was "not at all the case that we have absolute social exclusion.
"But we do have a lot of social suspicion, a lot of distance and we just have to go on working at how that shared citizenship comes through."
The Bishop of Rochester, The Rt Rev Dr Michael Nazir-Ali, said last month that non-Muslims faced a hostile reception in places dominated by the ideology of Islamic radicals.
Dr Williams said the use of the phrase "no-go areas" had sparked controversy because it reminded people of Northern Ireland.
"I don't think that was at all what was intended; I think it was meant to point to the silo problem, the sense of communities not communicating with each other.
"Many Muslims would say that they feel bits of British society are no-go areas for them."
Mohammed Shafiq, director of the Ramadhan Foundation, welcomed the comments.
"These comments further underline the attempts by both our great faiths to build respect and tolerance.
"Sharia law for civil matters is something which has been introduced in some Western countries with much success; I believe that Muslims would take huge comfort from the Government allowing civil matters being resolved according to their faith.
"We are however disappointed that the Archbishop of Canterbury was silent when Mr Nazir-Ali was promoting intolerance and lying about no-go areas for Christians in the UK by Muslim extremists.
"Unless he speaks out against this intolerance, Muslims will take his silence as authorisation and support for such comments.
"The Ramadhan Foundation will continue to work with the Church of England to build understanding and respect for our two communities."
Dr Williams's comments are likely to fuel the debate over multiculturalism in the UK.
But he insists that Sharia law needs to be better understood.
At the moment, he says "sensational reporting of opinion polls" clouds the issue.

Why ’Global Warming’ is Not a Global Crisis

By Christopher Monckton, 1/22/2008 8:06:23 AM
I earned my Nobel Peace Prize by making the United Nations fix a deliberate error in its latest climate assessment. After the scientists had finalized the draft, UN bureaucrats inserted a new table, but with four decimal points right-shifted. The bureaucrats had multiplied tenfold the true contribution of the Greenland and West Antarctic ice sheets to sea-level rise. Were they trying to support Al Gore's fantasy that these two ice-sheets would imminently cause sea level to rise 20ft, displacing tens of millions worldwide?
How do we know the UN's error was deliberate? The table, as it first appeared, said the units for sea-level rise were being changed. But the table was new. There was nothing to change from. I wrote to the UN that this misconduct was unacceptable. Two days later, the bureaucracy corrected, relabeled and moved the table, and quietly posted the new version on its Web site. The two ice sheets will contribute, between them, over 100 years, just two and a half inches to sea-level rise. Gore had exaggerated a hundredfold; the UN tenfold. Hawaii is not about to disappear beneath the waves.
The High Court in London recently ordered the British Government to correct nine of the 36 serious errors in Al Gore's climate movie before innocent pupils were exposed to it. It was Gore who, in 1994, announced that Mars was covered in canals full of water. This notion had been disproved before his birth. It was Gore who recently spent $4 million of the profits from his sci-fi comedy horror movie on a luxury condo just feet from the supposedly rising ocean at Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco. No surprise that he and the mad scientists with whom he has close financial and political links are under investigation for racketeering -- peddling a false prospectus to investors in his "green" investment corporation by distorting climate science even after the UK judge's ruling.
It is not so well known that the UN's climate reports are also error-packed and misleading.
To begin with, the UN denies that global temperatures were warmer than today in the medieval warm period. It overlooks the dozens of peer-reviewed papers that establish this fact, and continues to rely on the bogus and now-discredited "hockey-stick" graph by which its previous assessment in 2001 had tried to rewrite history.
It was also warmer than today in Roman times, and in the Minoan warm period or Holocene climate optimum, when temperatures were warmer than today for 2000 years in the Bronze Age, firing the emergence of great civilizations worldwide. In each of the four previous interglacial periods, temperatures were 10F warmer than today's. For most of the past half billion years, temperatures were nearly always 12.5F warmer than the present. So the warming that has now stopped (there has been no statistically significant warming since 1998) was well within the natural variability of the climate.
The only chapters in the UN's 1,600-page ramblings that are worth close analysis are those which consider "climate sensitivity" -- how big is the effect of greenhouse gases on temperature? The scientific debate centers not, as the Greens try to suggest, on whether adding CO2 to the atmosphere will cause warmer weather (it will), but instead on how much warmer the weather will be. So the only variable that truly matters in this debate is lambda -- the "climate sensitivity parameter." Here are just some of the UN's errors and exaggerations in calculating lambda.
First and foremost, the UN's crafty definition of lambda allows it to overlook the fact that the oceans -- 1,100 times denser than the atmosphere at the surface, and many times denser still at depth -- soak up a good proportion of any additional radiant energy in the atmosphere (see papers by Lyman et al., 2006; Schwartz, 2007). The oceans cancel a great deal of "global warming," because the next Ice Age will arrive long before the oceans lose their capacity to take up heat from the atmosphere.
Next, the UN has unwisely repealed the Stefan-Boltzmann radiative-transfer equation, the fundamental astrophysical law that relates changes in radiant energy to changes in temperature. The entire debate is about exactly that matter. Yet in 1,600 pages the UN does not mention this crucial equation once. Result: the UN's "no-feedbacks" value of lambda is way too high. As an eminent physics professor pointed out to me recently, if the UN were correct, global surface temperature would now be 20F higher than it is.
It gets worse. The UN's computer models predict that in the tropics the rate of increase in temperature five miles above the surface will be three times the rate of increase down here. But 50 years of atmospheric measurement, first by balloon-borne radiosondes and then by satellites, show that the air above the tropics is not merely failing to warm at three times the surface rate: for 25 years it has been cooling. The absence of the tropical mid-troposphere "hot-spot" indicates that the computer models -- expensive guesswork -- on which the UN's rickety case is founded are, in a fundamental way, misunderstanding the way the atmosphere behaves (Douglass & Knox, 2004; Douglass et al., 2007).
On top of the "radiative forcings" from greenhouse gases, the UN says the mere fact of temperature change will cause more change still, through what it calls "feedbacks." The UN has hiked the feedback multiplier by more than 52 percent since its 1995 report, without quite saying why. Shaviv (2006) and Schwartz (2007) calculate that the sum total of all feedbacks is either nil or very small; Wentz et al. (2007) report that the UN has missed out two-thirds of the cooling effect of evaporation in its assessment of the water-vapor feedback; Spencer (2007) finds that the cloud albedo feedback, which the UN says is strongly positive, is in fact negative; Ahlbeck (2004, 2005) says the CO2 feedback has been enormously exaggerated.
I have mentioned a dozen scientific papers. I could have mentioned hundreds more that challenge the UN "consensus." There has never been and can never be a scientific consensus on climate change. Lorenz (1963), in the landmark climate paper that founded chaos theory, stated and proved his famous theorem that the long-run evolution of mathematically chaotic objects like the climate cannot be predicted unless one knows the initial state of the object to a degree of precision that is in practice unattainable. Whenever you hear anyone recite the propaganda mantra "The Science Is Settled," laugh at his redneck scientific illiteracy. The science can never be settled.
Schulte (2008: in press) reviewed 539 papers on "global climate change" in the scientific journals. Only one paper mentioned that "global warming" might be catastrophic, and even that paper offered not a shred of evidence for the supposed apocalypse.
Bottom line: a recent peer-reviewed paper (Lindzen, December 2007) says all the UN's climate sensitivity estimates should be divided by three. We don't have a climate problem. The correct policy to deal with a non-problem is to have the courage to do nothing. Don't let your legislators in Hawaii waste time on this non-problem. The real problem of the 21st century will not be "global warming" but resource depletion, starting with oil. Let your lawmakers do some real work, and get to grips with that.
(me-the cooling trend and probable 'little ice age' conditions to peak around mid century will add to the depletion and shortages ultimately proving to the world a warmer world is much more friendly than a colder one!)

Muslim opening prayer at Iowa Statehouse raises concerns

When is this insanity going to end? I fear it will not utill they've taken us over!

By: Erin Ballou, Pilot Tribune Staff Storm Lake Pilot Tribune, January 24, 2008

The Iowa Legislature started just over a week ago and some people were upset before the first issue was ever addressed.
When the session began, a Muslim Imam began the prayer in the Iowa Legislature. This is where the controversy begins.
The prayer asked of "Victory over those who disbelieve," and "Protection from the great Satan" among other things.
Pastor Steve Smith of the Evangelical Free Church in Albert City is among those concerned about the Muslim prayer. Rev. Smith admits that he doesn't know about all the levels of Muslim but knows that the Jihadists believe those in the U.S. are the great Satan.
Rev. Smith also wants to point out the mention of "victory over those who disbelieve." He feels "this is a request in the Iowa Legislature for God to grant the Muslims victory over every non-muslim. Not a request for salvation." Smith takes it as a gesture not of prayer but more as a political statement, especially with the wars that have been going on in the Middle East.
"I'm not concerned about a Muslim Imam opening the Legislature in prayer but it concerns me with the statements that were made. He interpreted this prayer from his understanding of Islam."
Here is the text of the opening prayer, as transcribed by Radio Iowa:
Imam Muhammad Khan of the Islamic Center of Des Moines spoke first in Arabic.
"I seek refuge in God against the accursed Satan in the name of God, most gracious, most merciful," Khan said in English. Khan made no specific mention of the war in Iraq or foreign affairs, but he called God the "master of the day of judgment" and asked for "victory over those who disbelieve."
"As we begin this new year...in a world with trials and tribulations, we ask you to open the hearts of our legislators and policy makers to make the right decisions for the people of Iowa," Khan said. "...We ask that you guide our legislators and give them the wisdom and knowledge to tackle the difficult problems that face us today in order to eliminate the senseless crimes on humanity. Help them, Lord, to solve the complicated problems in the State of Iowa so that we can be a model to the world."
Khan's prayer lasted about four minutes and he closed with a few words for legislators.
"On behalf of the Muslim community of Des Moines and Iowa, I wish you all the success in this year for making the right decisions for us," Khan said. Khan was the guest of State Representative Ako Abdul Samad of Des Moines, who is also a local Muslim leader.
Rev. Smith has urged others who may be concerned to contact their representative.
When asked about the prayer, Senator Steve Kettering replied in an e-mail that he had not heard the prayer, which did not take place in the Senate chambers.
"I cannot tell you what was said. I have received e-mail regarding this, but since it did not occur on the Senate side I do not have much information," Kettering said. "I should point out that the senate had a Catholic priest for their opening."
Representative Gary Worthan of Storm Lake said that he agrees with the concern being shown over the Muslim prayer.
He said that he has registered his concerns with the proper authorities.
As the father of two sons who have fought terrorism in the military, Worthan said the phrases mentioned earlier also jumped out at him and he said he shares concern for the same reasons as the constituents he is hearing from.

PETA Killed 97 Percent of “Companion Animals” in 2006

An official report from People for The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), shows that the animal rights group put to death more than 97 percent of the dogs, cats, and other pets it took in for adoption in 2006. During that year, the well-known animal rights group managed to find adoptive homes for just 12 pets. The nonprofit Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) is calling on PETA to either end its hypocritical angel-of-death program, or stop its senseless condemnation of Americans who believe it’s perfectly ethical to use animals for food, clothing, and critical medical research.

Our global warming 'Animal Farm'

In one of his incomparable essays, C. S. Lewis criticized man's often insolent determination to control the forces of nature. He remarked that man's control of nature was frequently nothing more than man's control over other men - with nature as the instrument.

Nothing explains the mad obsession with global warming quite so pointedly. It is becoming increasingly obvious that the global warming panic has little to do with temperature change and everything to do with man's control of other men with climate as the instrument.

The global warming hoax is a dream come true for the global bullies intent on imposing their repressive regulatory regime upon a willing world of useful idiots.

American Free Speech and Press Rights

This “Legal Jihad” Must Be Stopped!

Imagine an America where no journalist, author, or speaker dared to write or speak out about militant Islam and Islamic terrorism. Imagine an America where books like Brigitte Gabriel’s Because They Hate were never published out of fear by the publishing company that they could be bankrupted by “libel” lawsuits.

Sounds impossible in America, right? After all, this is the world’s beacon light of free speech and free press, right?

Yes, but those rights are under very serious assault from another tentacle of Jihad – “Legal Jihad.”

One of the tactics being employed by Islamists to intimidate critics and muzzle investigative reporting of Islamic militancy and terrorism is the use of lawsuits alleging defamation of character and slander. A particularly egregious example of this has ensnared Rachel Ehrenfeld, noted author on terrorism and related issues, and a member of the Advisory Board of American Congress for Truth, ACT! for America’s sister organization.

Ehrenfeld was sued in a British court by Saudi billionaire Khalid Salim bin Mahfouz for detailing in her book how Bin Mahfouz, and some of his family, are allegedly tied to funding terrorist organizations. She lost the suit by default and was ordered to pay Bin Mahfouz over $225,000 in damages.

Bin Mahfouz has used the British legal system to obtain more than three dozen such judgments affecting the U.S. media. His tactics have been so successful that several major American media companies and book publishing companies have chosen to pull books and issue apologies and retractions, rather than face the economic consequences of losing to him in British courts.

Such legal assaults, if allowed to succeed, have chilling and far-reaching implications for our cherished freedoms of speech and the press so enormous that they threaten the very foundation of American liberty.

It is no accident that our Founding Fathers placed freedom of speech and the press in the very first amendment of the Bill of Rights. They understood that without such freedoms, there cannot be a free people.

Ehrenfeld rightly sought a court order and legal protection of her constitutional rights in the New York court system. Shockingly, a New York Court of Appeals has ruled that it cannot protect her from this lawsuit. The court ruled that it does not have jurisdiction to protect Americans – on U.S. soil – from a foreign defamation verdict!!

This court ruling has stunned many in the legal, media and publishing community. The British court system’s legal standard for libel is much lower than that in the United States, which explains why litigants like Bin Mahfouz file lawsuits in Great Britain. They recognize they are unlikely to succeed with such lawsuits in America, so they use foreign courts in an attempt to intimidate and muzzle American authors and journalists.

This is nothing more than “Legal Jihad” – and it must be stopped.

Fortunately, a bi-partisan effort is now under way in New York to pass legislation designed to protect journalists, authors and publishers from lawsuits filed outside the U.S. by foreign nationals seeking to muzzle the First Amendment rights of American citizens, particularly those reporting on terrorism and its financiers.

This Sunday, January 13th, at 10:30 a.m., on the steps of the New York Public Library, 42nd Street and Fifth Avenue, a bi-partisan news conference will be held by New York State Senate Deputy Majority Leader Dean Skelos and Assemblyman Rory I. Lancman, where they will announce the introduction of such legislation. The two lawmakers, Ehrenfeld, and members of the bar, will warn that without this legislation, not only are authors and journalists threatened, the contents of the New York Public Library could be subject to assault by foreign nationals seeking to silence public debate in America. They are to be applauded and supported for this effort.

If you live in the New York area, you are invited to attend this news conference. Next week, once we have specific details regarding the legislation, we will launch a full-scale educational and lobbying effort to ensure its passage – so please watch for our alerts in your email boxes.

Ladies and gentlemen, if Islamists are allowed to “court shop” around the world, seeking friendly judges who will issue court rulings and monetary judgments against anyone in America who dares to write or speak out against the assault of militant Islam, not only will our ability to resist this threat be dramatically imperiled. This will be a stake in the heart of American free speech and press rights.

We cannot allow this to happen.

This ill-tempered, violent, foul-mouthed, hateful, abusive, beastly woman wants to be your President and have total control, as your commander-in-chief of our military, the very military for which she has shown incredible contempt & disdain throughout her public life. Surely we the people of the The United States can easily do better than this.

What is up with this?

Questioners as well as questions. From the folks at Hot Air, 2 and 1/2 minutes of what a little investigation will get you. As my friend Bryan asks about the last debate, "Why did so many of the “undecided voters” who asked questions at last week’s Democrat debate turn out to be either anti-war, labor, race politics or Democrat party activists?"

Every Democrat should be personally offended by a party system that not only doesn't offer a legitimate field of candidates for president (where are Kerry, Gore or Lieberman?), but can't even withstand the idea of actual random Democrats asking random questions.

Newsflash for the party, Hillary, and every other clown standing up on the stage: If you're afraid of facing the American people without a net, how in God's name can you face a world filled with tyrants who will not play your game?

Detroit Lions QB Under Media Fire for Politically Incorrect Costume

Something fun to read aboutWhat horrible thing did he dress up as, which raised the press hackles? Hitler? A dead Muslim terrorist? An ugly feminist (redundant)? Mark David Chapman? Heather Mills McCartney sans leg, but with English barrister-lawyer strapped to side? Nope. Instead, he dressed up as Detroit Lions Assistant Coach Joe Cullen, who, last year

Another Casualty of the Illegal Alien Invasion: Deportee Murders Heroic Cop

Yet another tragedy of the illegal alien invasion, another murder which could have been prevented, if we had tighter borders. Phoenix police Officer Nick Erfle survived two bouts of cancer to put back on his uniform and patrol the city's streets. On Tuesday, a jaywalker shot him in the face and killed him.

The Muslim Terrorist Doctor in My Neighborhood

Houssein Zorkot, a third-year medical student at Wayne State University (my father's alma mater). He was caught, Sunday, in Dearbornistan's Hemlock park, armed with an AK-47 assault rifle and dressed in black clothing with camouflage paint covering his face. He was apparently training for some sort of terrorist attack on behalf of Hezbollah.

Subject: $104,655.60 Ad in the Washington Post

Here is someone with the money to fund a rebuttal to what Howard Dean,
Democratic National Committee Chairman, said recently that many
Republicans have never done an honest day's work in their life. The following full
page ad was placed in the Washington Post by a businessman named George J.
Esseff, Sr. He paid $104,655.60 to run the ad and only did it because he is
sick and tired of the way that "the rich" are portrayed by liberals these
days. It is a great read.
**********************************

Maybe you're a Republican?

In today's America ask a growing number of high school and college
students, their teachers and professors, the self-anointed media elite
and/or hard working men and women of all ethnicities, the question, "What
is a Republican?" and you'll be told ".. a rich, greedy, egotistical
individual, motivated only by money and the desire to accumulate more and
more of it, at the expense of the environment, the working poor....and all
whom they exploit..."

I am a Republican - And I am none of those things...and I don't know any
Republicans who are!

WHAT I AM first and foremost, is a loving husband of some 52 plus years,
the father of four and an American who's proud of his country...and his
country's heritage

WHAT I AM is the grandson of immigrants who risked every-thing, including
their lives and those of their children, to escape tyranny in search of
freedom

WHAT I AM is a man who grew up during the Depression and witnessed first
hand the effects of the Stock Market crash and the soup lines that
followed. I watched as both my parents and grand parents, who had very
little themselves, share what food they had with a half dozen other
families, who had even less. < BR>

WHAT I AM is someone who worked his way through college by holding down
three and four jobs at a time and then used that education to build a
better life.

WHAT I AM is a husband who at age 24 started his own business for the
"privilege" of working 60, 70 and 80 hours a week, risking everything I
had including my health, in search of a better life for myself and my loved
ones.

WHAT I AM is a businessman whose blood, sweat and tears....and plenty of
them..., made it possible for me to provide a secure living not only for
my family and myself, but also for literally hundreds of my employees
throughout the years. Employees who in turn were able to buy their own
homes, raise their own families and give back to their communities and
their country.

WHAT I AM is a man who believes in God; a God who has blessed this
country... and all for which it stands.

WHAT I AM is someone who knows, if you doubt miracles exist in today's
world, you need only to look into the face of those who received
them....and the eyes of those who give them.

WHAT I AM is an American who's proud that his President embraces a belief
in God; proud of a President who understands, as "politically incorrect"
as it may be, there is evil in this world and for the security and safety of
all freedom loving people everywhere, it must be confronted...and it must
be defeated.

WHAT I AM is an American who takes comfort in the knowledge that our
President refuses to allow decisions concerning the very safety and
security of this nation, to be governed by the political whims of foreign
governments.

WHAT I AM is tired of hearing from leading Democrats who see only
negativity in America; racism in her people; class warfare in her society
and "political incorrectness" in her character.

WHAT I AM is a form er democrat who now understands that it is the soldier
and not the reporter that guarantees us our freedoms of press, speech and
dissent.

WHAT I AM is a man who believes in the sanctity of life. A man who is
repulsed by the pandering of the political left for votes, at the expense
of the unborn.

WHAT I AM is a husband and father who believes in the sanctity of
marriage and the preservation of the family unit.

WHAT I AM is an ex-movie goer who is repulsed by those insecure, socially
inept, elementary thinking, ego-inflated "entertainers" who have appointed
themselves "experts" in the fields of national security and geo-politics
and then use their forum to attack this nation, its leaders and its
actions....much to the delight and encouragement of our enemies.

WHAT I AM is an American who understands the difference between
"censorship" and "choice." Evidently, these individuals do not, because
when these same "celebrities" receive public ridicule for their offensive
actions, the first thing they yell is "censorship." What they seem
incapable of understanding is...the right of free speech and dissent is
shared equally by those offended...as well as those who offend. I support
and will continue to support those films and performers whom I choose to
and refuse to support those I don't. It is my right as an American a right
I will continue to enthusiastically exercise.

WHAT I AM is a voter, tired of politicians who every time their voting
records are subjected to public scrutiny, try to divert attention from
their political and legislative failures by accusing their opponents of
"attack ads" and "negative campaigning"....and the news media who allow
them to get away with it.

WHAT I AM is a Catholic who loves his God and his Faith....and who's been
taught to respect all religions whose teachings are based in love, peace
and charity. As such, I am embarrassed and ashamed of those individuals in
both private and public life whose decisions and actions are devoid of any
sense of character or morals; individuals who are only driven by what's
best for them....rather than what's right... often times at the expense of
many....including our national secu rity.

WHAT I AM is a realist who understands that the terrorist attack that
murdered hundreds of innocent Russian children could have occurred here,
in our heartland. That's why I sincerely believe America needs now, more than
ever, a President who sees with a clear and focused vision and who speaks
with a voice when heard by both friend and foe alike is understood,
respected and believed

WHAT I AM is eternally grateful to Ronald Reagan for having the bravery to
speak out against Communism and the courage of his convictions in leading
the fight to defeat it; and George W. Bush for the vision, courage,
conviction and leadership he has shown in America's war on terrorism
amidst both the constant and vicious, personal and pol itical attacks both he and
his family are made to endure.

WHAT I AM is a human being, full of numerous faults and failures, but a
man nonetheless who though not always successful has continually strived to do
"what's right" instead of "what's easy." A man who is challenging the
religious leaders of all faiths, to not only preach to their congregations
the fundamentals of "what's right" and "what's wrong," but to also then
hold them accountable for their actions in both the public and private
sectors.

WHAT I AM is disgusted with the Courts who on one hand call the murder of
a pregnant woman a "double homicide," but then refer to the abortion of her
baby as "pro-choice".

WHAT I AM is someone deeply troubled by a political party which embraces a
candidate whose primary "leadership" qualities center around his
protesting of the Vietnam war and his labeling the honorable men and women who fought
in it, (50,000 of whom gave their lives in that action), as rapists, and
war criminals (John Kerry). That same political party then stepped forward
this year to block the appearance of a true Vietnam war hero, retired
Admiral and former United States Senator, Jeremiah Denton, (a man who
spent seven years and seven torturous months in a North Vietnam prison), from
speaking before an open session of the California legislature as part of
that state's 4th of July celebration. The reason Democrats gave for
refusing to allow this American hero to speak before their state
legislature was because of the "conservative" nature of his views. As an
American, that troubles me deeply....as well it should you. (Are you
listening Mr. D?)

WHAT I AM is a man who feels the need to spend, ONE HUNDRED & FOUR
THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED & FIFTY FIVE DOLLARS ($104, 655.60, tax paid) of his own
money, to purchase this advertisement, in order to set the story straight. Some
may say this money would have been better spent feeding the world's poor.
At the risk of sounding self-serving, as an American and as a Republican,
for the last six decades of my life, I have done exactly that...and more.
Following the examples of my parents and grand parents, I have used my
earnings to feed the poor, shelter the homeless, provide housing for the
elderly and medical care for the sick.....and continue to do so...and I'm
not alone in that work.

WHAT I AM is someone who is paying for this announcement at my sole
expense in hopes of opening the eyes of those led blindly by ill-informed elements
of our great nation, who, through either ignorance, or malicious intent,
repeatedly attack and belittle those of us who belong to a political party
that holds true to the belief, "The rights of the governed, exceed the
power of the government." For those interested, I am speaking only as a
tax-paying individual who is in no way associated with the Republican
National Committee, nor with any of its directors, or delegates.

WHAT I AM is a man who understands, "the American way of life" is a
message of self-empowerment for all

WHAT I AM is an American who is grateful that our nation gives each of us
the opportunity of self-determination and the right to benefit from the
fruits of self achievement.

WHAT I AM is an American who wants to preserve that way of life for all
who seek it.

WHAT I AM is blessed to be an American.... and proud to be a Republican

"I'm Tired" Lieutenant Colonel, U. S. Army

"I'm Tired"

Two weeks ago, as I was starting my sixth month of duty in Iraq, I was forced to return to the USA for surgery for an injury I sustained prior to my deployment. With luck, I'll return to Iraq to finish my tour.

I left Baghdad, and a war that has every indication that we are winning, to return to a demoralized country much like the one I returned to in 1971 after my tour in Vietnam. Maybe it's because I'll turn 60 years old in just four months, but I'm tired:

I'm tired of spineless politicians, both Democrat and Republican, who lack the courage, fortitude and character to see these difficult tasks through.

I'm tired of the hypocrisy of politicians who want to rewrite history when the going gets tough.

I'm tired of the disingenuous clamor from those that claim they 'Support the Troops' by wanting them to 'Cut and Run' before victory is achieved.

I'm tired of a mainstream media that can only focus on car bombs and casualty
reports because they are too afraid to leave the safety of their hotels to report on the courage and success our brave men and women are having on the
battlefield.

I'm tired that so many Americans think you can rebuild a dictatorship into a
democracy overnight.

I'm tired that so many ignore the bravery of the Iraqi people to go to the voting booth and freely elect a Constitution and soon a permanent Parliament.

I'm tired of the so called 'Elite Left' that prolongs this war by giving aid and comfort to our enemy, just as they did during the Vietnam War.

I'm tired of antiwar protesters showing up at the funerals of our fallen soldiers, a family whose loved ones gave their life in a just and noble cause, only to be cruelly tormented on the funeral day by cowardly protesters is beyond shameful.

I'm tired that my generation, the Baby Boom -- Vietnam generation, who
have such a weak backbone that they can't stomach seeing the difficult tasks
through to victory.

I'm tired that some are more concerned about the treatment of captives than they are the slaughter and beheading of our citizens and allies.

I'm tired that when we find mass graves it is seldom reported by the press, but mistreat a prisoner and it is front-page news.

Mostly, I'm tired that the people of this great nation didn't learn from history that there is no substitute for victory.

Sincerely,

Joe Repya, Lieutenant Colonel, U. S. Army
101st Airborne Division

The Muslim Brotherhood “Project”

One might be led to think that if international law enforcement authorities and Western intelligence agencies had discovered a twenty-year old document revealing a top-secret plan developed by the oldest Islamist organization with one of the most extensive terror networks in the world to launch a program of “cultural invasion” and
