Obama's Department of Justice Sues School District on Behalf of Hajj-tripping Muslim Teacher - Atlas Shrugs
More Islamic law from the Sharia President of the United States. Is there no end to his madness?
Safoorah Khan had taught middle school math for only nine months in this tiny Chicago suburb when she made an unusual request. She wanted three weeks off for a pilgrimage to Mecca. The school district, faced with losing its only math lab instructor during the critical end-of-semester marking period, said no. Khan, a devout Muslim, resigned and made the trip anyway.
Justice Department lawyers examined the same set of facts and reached a different conclusion: that the school district’s decision amounted to outright discrimination against Khan. They filed an unusual lawsuit, accusing the district of violating her civil rights by forcing her to choose between her job and her faith.
Who starts a teaching job and demands close to a month off for hajj? What teacher would leave her students in the lurch for a month? And who pushed a Justice Department completely at odds with its goals and objectives to "examine" the case of the hajj pilgrim? Islamic supremacists seeking to impose Islam on the public square, that's who. And what justice department would sue on behalf of Muslim Brotherhood-tied Islamic supremacists? Iran? Malaysia? Egypt? No, Obama's America. And Obama has made this the mission of his presidency. This is hardly the first case of the DoJ suing to impose Islam on the secular
arena.Integrity. Our leadership role and the funds entrusted to us by the taxpaying public demand that we maintain the highest levels of integrity and trustworthiness. This affects not only the way we carry ourselves as representatives of the law, but the manner in which we manage the resources entrusted to us to carry out our mission. (from Department of Justice Goals and Objectives) Obama's Department of Justice dropped charges against night stick wielding new Black Panthers carrying weapons while menacing voters and blocking polling places on election day.
But Obama and Holder sued a New Jersey county, alleging it refused to accommodate a Muslim employee's khimar, a religious head covering. Yvette Beshier, a corrections officer in Essex County, NJ, demanded to wear Islamic garb to work. On duty as a corrections officer, she should wear religiously neutral garb. Off duty, she can dress any way she wants. And who can forget the most egregious acts of sabatoge at the DoJ? Lema Bashir, stealth jihadist at Obama's DoJ, sabotaged and disenfranchised the Military vote.

Former Democratic Party Chairman Michael McGuinness and ex-operations director Jason Bauer, both of Waterford Township, were arraigned Wednesday before Oakland Circuit Judge James Alexander.
They face charges related to Independent Tea Party filings, false affidavits and forged documents that occurred between July 23 and July 26 last year.
Both stood mute to the charges and were released on $25,000 personal bond each, pending an April 13 hearing before Alexander.
The charges include felonies that carry up to 14 years in prison. Neither could be reached for comment

The United States government is funding the National Council of La Raza with our tax dollars. House panel votes to bar EPA tailpipe emission regulations | detnews.com | The Detroit News
Washington— A House panel approved a bill to block the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating tailpipe emissions — but the measure's future is uncertain.
The bill sponsored by Rep. Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and Rep. Ed Whitfield, R-Ky., would overturn a 2007 Supreme Court decision that said the EPA has the legal right to regulate tailpipe emissions as a danger to public health under the Clean Air Act.
The committee's Energy and Power subcommittee, after two hours of debate, approved the measure by a voice vote. House Republicans are putting the measure on a fast track, with opening statements planned for Monday by the full committee and a vote by the full House later this month.
The 2007 Supreme Court decision opened the door to California imposing its own tailpipe emissions limits. The prospect of state and federal emissions limits has been harshly criticized by automakers. From The Detroit News: http://detnews.com/article/20110310/AUTO01/103100441/House-panel-votes-to-bar-EPA-tailpipe-emission-regulations#ixzz1GJimAvOf

Wis. Dems File Ethics Complaint Against Walker « CBS Minnesota
The Democratic Party of Wisconsin has filed an ethics complaint against Gov. Scott Walker for statements made during a recorded prank phone call.
The complaint that’s been filed with the Government Accountability Board claims Walker violated ethics regulations, including those prohibiting use of state
offices for political purposes.Monday’s complaint says Walker’s statements asking campaign contributors for support constituted “illegal third-party coordination” in violation of campaign finance regulations.
Walker made the statements during a call with a blogger posing as David Koch, a Walker campaign contributor.

Communists, socialists, Marxists, Oh my!
One of the main groups organizing the Wisconsin union protests is a spinoff from an activist academy modeled after Marxist community organizer Saul Alinsky and described as teaching tactics of direct action, confrontation and intimidation.
President Obama once funded that academy - the radical Midwest Academy. He has been closely tied to the group's founder, socialist activist Heather Booth.
Obama also is closely tied to scores of other radicals behind the Wisconsin opposition protesting Gov. Scott Walker's proposal for most state workers to pay 12 percent of their health care premiums and 5.8 percent of their salary toward their own pensions.
Walker's proposal reportedly would save $300 million in the next two years for a state that faces a financial crisis amid a $3.6 billion deficit..
A slew of radical groups and unions have been organizing the protests against Walker's proposal as well as counter protests to a recent tea party rally in support of the governor's plan.
Obama's own political machine has aided in organizing protests in Wisconsin

House GOP Lists $2.5 Trillion in Spending Cuts - US News and World Report
Moving aggressively to make good on election promises to slash the federal budget, the House GOP today unveiled an eye-popping plan to eliminate $2.5 trillion in spending over the next 10 years. Gone would be Amtrak subsidies, fat checks to the Legal Services Corporation and National Endowment for the Arts, and some $900 million to run President Obama's healthcare reform program.
What's more, the "Spending Reduction Act of 2011" proposed by members of the conservative Republican Study Committee, chaired by Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, would reduce current spending for non-defense, non-homeland security and non-veterans programs to 2008 levels, eliminate federal control of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, cut the federal workforce by 15 percent through attrition, and cut some $80 billion by blocking implementation of Obamacare. [See a slide show of the top Congressional travel destinations.]
Some of the proposed reductions will surely draw Democratic attack, such as cutting the Ready to Learn TV Program, repeal of the Davis-Bacon Act, the elimination of the Energy Star Program, and cutting subsidies to the Woodrow Wilson Center. [See editorial cartoons about the GOP.]

Why the Constitution is Better Than Marx
In 1787, the Constitution proclaimed a political philosophy that has led to greater well-being and happiness for more people over more centuries than anything Europe's totalitarians ever did. But precisely because the Constitution limits the greed of the power-hungry, it is always under assault. Every generation needs to understand that because human nature has not changed since 1800. Napoleon Bonaparte and Adolf Hitler are alive somewhere today, because greed for absolute power is part of human nature. Look at the absolute dictators around the world; they are no different. If we are not the brainwashed followers of a Napoleon or Hitler, it is only because our minds have not been dominated by some totalitarian ideology. That is what at stake today, just as it is in every generation.

First order of business | congress, constitution, government - Opinion - The Orange County Register
If the new Congress to be sworn in today is the Tea Party's cardinal achievement so far, its most symbolic achievement will come Thursday, when the first order of business in the House will be a reading – aloud – of the Constitution. That event alone will not bring us any closer to limited government. But it will help get a debate going that for too long has been dormant.
Already, House Democrats are lining up to ridicule a closely related rule that the Republican majority has said it will adopt, requiring members to cite the specific constitutional authority for any bill they introduce. "It's an air kiss they're blowing to the Tea Party," says Barney Frank, outgoing chairman of the House Financial Services Committee. Henry Waxman, outgoing chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, all but dismissed any role for Congress in assessing the constitutionality of its actions: "Whether it is constitutional or not is going to be whether the Supreme Court says it is."
What a damn good idea!

$5 Gas Predicted Under Obama -- What, No Pitchforks?
Where are the calls to sic Obama's Justice Department on Big Oil to hold the oil companies accountable for "market manipulation"? Why aren't we hunting down the amoral "oil speculators" responsible for repealing the law of supply-and-demand in order to line their pockets?
During President George W. Bush's administration, we constantly heard demands to hold the President accountable for "Big Oil's price gouging." House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., just two years ago, knew exactly whom to blame for "skyrocketing" oil prices: "The price of oil is at the doorstep; $4-plus per gallon for oil is attributed
to two oilmen in the White House and their protectors in the United States Senate."

President and family on multi-million dollar Christmas vacation in Hawaii | Washington Examiner
Just consider these estimates on part of the costs of the latest Obama Hawaii trip:
* Mrs. Obama’s early flight to Hawaii: $63,000 (White House Dossier)
* Obama’s round trip flight to Hawaii: $1 million (GAO estimates)
* Housing in beachfront homes for Secret Service and Seals in Kailua ($1,200 a day for 14 days): $16,800
* Costs for White House staff staying at Moana Hotel: $134,400 ($400 per day for 24 staff) – excluding meals and other room costs
* Police overtime: $250,000 (2009 costs reported by Honolulu Police Department)
* Ambulance: $10,000 (City Spokesperson)
TOTAL COST: $1,474,200

The WikiLeaks vindication of George W. Bush
Wired magazine's contributing editor, Noah Shachtman – a nonresident fellow at the liberal Brookings Institution – researched the 400,000 WikiLeaked documents released in October. Here's what he found: "By late 2003, even the Bush White House's staunchest defenders were starting to give up on the idea
that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. But WikiLeaks' newly released Iraq war documents reveal that for years afterward, U.S. troops continued to find chemical weapons labs, encounter insurgent specialists in toxins and uncover weapons of mass destruction (emphasis added). ... Chemical weapons, especially, did not vanish from the Iraqi battlefield. Remnants of Saddam's toxic arsenal, largely destroyed after the Gulf War, remained. Jihadists, insurgents and foreign (possibly Iranian) agitators turned to these stockpiles during the Iraq conflict – and may have brewed up their own deadly agents."In 2008, our military shipped out of Iraq – on 37 flights in 3,500 barrels – what even the Associated Press called "the last major remnant of Saddam Hussein's nuclear program": 550 metric tons of the supposedly nonexistent yellowcake. The New York Sun editorialized: "The uranium issue is not a trivial one, because Iraq, sitting on vast oil reserves, has no peaceful need for nuclear power. ... To leave this nuclear material sitting around the Middle East in the hands of Saddam ... would have been too big a risk."

House May Block Food Safety Bill Over Senate Error : Roll Call
A food safety bill that has burned up precious days of the Senate’s lame-duck session appears headed back to the chamber because Democrats violated
a constitutional provision requiring that tax provisions originate in the House.By pre-empting the House’s tax-writing authority, Senate Democrats appear to have touched off a power struggle with members of their own party in the House. The Senate passed the bill Tuesday, sending it to the House, but House Democrats are expected to use a procedure known as “blue slipping” to block the bill, according to House and Senate GOP aides.

NRA-ILA :: The National Rifle Association Strongly Opposes the Nomination of Andrew Traver to Head BATFE, Calls on President Obama to withdraw the nomination
The National Rifle Association of America strongly opposes President Obama's nomination of Andrew Traver as director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE). Traver has been deeply aligned with gun control advocates and anti-gun activities. This makes him the wrong choice to lead an enforcement agency that has almost exclusive oversight and control over the firearms industry, its retailers and consumers. Further, an important nomination such as BATFE director should not be made as a "recess appointment," in order to circumvent consent by the American people through their duly-elected U.S. Senators.
Traver served as an advisor to the International Association for Chiefs of Police's (IACP) "Gun Violence Reduction Project," a "partnership" with the Joyce Foundation. Both IACP and the Joyce Foundation are names synonymous with promoting a variety of gun control schemes at the federal and state levels. Most of the individuals involved in this project were prominent gun control activists and lobbyists.

Obama Remembers Mumbai Massacre; Forgets Ft. Hood First Anniversary
The first week of November proved historic with the Democrat mauling in the mid-term elections and the 10th anniversary of the crews aboard the international space station, but there was one notable event that went unnoticed by the White House. The first anniversary of the Fort Hood massacre.
President Obama’s remarks a year ago were odd enough leading with an unpresidential and out of touch “shout out,” but for the White House to completely ignore the Ft. Hood anniversary is disturbing.
Obama, though he likes to remind himself that he is the commander-in-chief, has always demonstrated his disdain for our troops and seemingly cannot help it. Ignoring Ft. Hood is just another example.

Massive voter fraud in Arizona and Colorado
There has been an accusation that 65% of 5000 voter registration forms, submitted by Mi Familia Vota and One Vote Arizona, in Yuma County on the last day of filling are invalid due to the registrant not being a citizen, wrong/invalid address, false signature, etc. I also understand that these 2 groups have signed up 20,000 states wide and they have requested that 45,000 be put on the permanent early ballot. If 65% of these last minute registration forms in Yuma are invalid, which may be more as they are still checking the rest, then what is the percentages of invalid in Maricopa, Pima and other counties.

Jon Coupal: Prop. 25 could open the tax floodgates
Here is what Prop. 25 is really all about, in the words of some of its promoters. Talking about eliminating the two-thirds vote for the budget and for taxes, Senate leader Darrell Steinberg, D-Sacramento, said, "The question then becomes one of strategy and timing. Do you try to accomplish it all at once, or do you set a two- to four-year to six–year plan that takes a big piece or two at a time to voters?"
And United Teachers Los Angeles – a major backer of Prop. 25, along with its statewide counterparts the California Federation of Teachers and the California Teachers Association – tells its members, "Further it will send an important signal that Californians believe in majority rule and will help set the stage for taking on some of the regressive elements of Prop. 13."
To Steinberg, Burton and the government employee unions, the "regressive elements of Prop. 13" are the taxpayer protections it contains. If Prop. 25 passes, we know what will come next.
Californians, vote early, vote often and vote NO on 25!!!

Model “green economy” Spain has been a disaster
Spain has been touted by proponents of AB 32 and national cap and trade as a model of green jobs creation. However, an independent analysis by Spanish researchers at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos found a program similar to AB 32 killed over two traditional jobs for every one green jobs created. Even worse, most of these new green jobs were temporary in fields such as windmill construction. The analysis has now been verified by the Spanish government which found the consequences could be even worse. “Green” jobs in effect cost blue collar and union jobs.
Solar panel manufacturers sell in California but create jobs in China
It costs 38% more to build solar panels in California than in Tennessee – which is why European corporations have invested $2.3 billion in two Tennessee manufacturing plants to build solar panels for our state. Even a California-based solar panel manufacturer has chosen to build its panels elsewhere, choosing to build one of the largest solar panel plants in America, not in California, but in Georgia. Global warming mandates that ban traditional incandescent light bulbs in favor of compact fluorescent bulbs have just resulted in the shutdown of the last incandescent light bulb factory in America with the newly created “green” jobs going to China.
While one might expect AB 32 to turn California into a magnet for jobs in solar panel manufacturing, the unfriendly climate created for manufacturers is actually sending money to other states for the construction of panels to be installed here.
Green jobs numbers don’t add up
Between 2003 and 2009, California has created only 10,000 green jobs a year. However, since November of 2007, our state has lost 1.37 million jobs, sending our unemployment to record highs. While before the passage of AB 32, California’s unemployment rate roughly tracked the national average, our unemployment is now one of the nation’s highest with entrepreneurs reluctant to invest in a state ranked as one of the highest taxed and least economically free in the nation.

It’s Official: Obama Has Now Borrowed $3 Trillion | CNSnews.com
It's official: The Obama administration has now borrowed $3 trillion, according to the U.S. Treasury Department.
It took from 1776, when the United States became an independent country, until 1990, the year after the Berlin Wall fell signaling victory in the Cold War, for the federal government to accumulate a total of $3 trillion in debt, according to the Treasury Department. It only took from Jan. 20, 2009, the day President Barack Obama was inaugurated, until Oct. 15, 2010, for the Obama administration to add $3 trillion to the federal debt.
Thank you president Obummer!
Please HELP DEFEAT Hezbollah’s Fave Lib in Congress, John Dingell (D-Dearbornistan)
With just two weeks to go before the election, I’d like your help in a tight race, where you can make a difference and replace a Hezbollah-supporting
liberal Democrat with a pro-Israel, down-the-line conservative Republican in Congress. I’m referring to Dr. Rob Steele, whom a recent poll showed was four points ahead of Michigan Congressman John Dingell–the liberal Democrat who openly supports Hezbollah (which murdered over 300 U.S. Marines and Embassy officials) and doesn’t think it’s a terrorist group. (He’s also one of the most anti-Israel, pan-jihadist Members of Congress.) Even though Republican Steele has a good chance to beat Dingell, the national Republican party hasn’t given him the much-needed funds necessary for him to win the race in home-stretch. That’s where you come in. I hope you’ll watch the video of John Dingell, below, which was taped during the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah war, and donate whatever you can to Rob Steele. (Although there are suggested amounts, you can even donate $5, but you must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder.)

Barbara Boxer Approved Code Pink Trip to Fallujah to Donate $600k to Extrmists to Murder US Soldiers
The article says that Code Pink:
“Secured diplomatic courtesy letters from US Senators Barbara Boxer of California and Raul Grijalva of Arizona and Congressmen Dennis Kucinich of Ohio and Henry Waxman of California.”
Swett reported on how Barbara Boxer and Code Pink assisted terrorists in Iraq:
Perhaps the most revealing window into Boxer’s true feelings towards our military is her close alliance with Code Pink, a radical leftist group that reviles American troops as terrorists and assassins while praising their enemies as freedom fighters. For years, Code Pink has viciously harassed wounded veterans and their families outside Walter Reed Hospital, even telling the mother of a slain Navy Seal that her son “deserved to die.” Code Pink actively supports terror groups such as Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Taliban, Hezbollah and al Qaeda.
The Code Pink website repeatedly praises “our beloved Barbara Boxer.” And why not? Boxer has worked with the group and supported its goals on many occasions. In early 2005, Boxer was the only member of the Senate to oppose certifying the Electoral College result that returned George Bush to office for a second term. Code Pink hosted rallies and participated in various demonstrations and marches to “defend democracy” against the results of the 2004 elections. They wrapped up the event at Senator Boxer’s California office, “singing her songs of thanks.”

The Feds' Disease: Spending! (Part 1) by Chuck Norris on Creators.com - A Syndicate Of Talent
From 2009-20, it is estimated that the Troubled Asset Relief program will cost $67 billion. The Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac bailouts are estimated to cost $190 billion.
—And of course, let's not forget the string of massive debts spent by Obama under the guise of "economic stimuli," including the $787 billion stimulus bill, the $410 billion omnibus spending bill (with 9,000 earmarks — 60 percent Democratic in origin) and the $634 billion required for a down payment for universal health care (debt No. 4). And all of that doesn't include other so-called "economic stimuli" deemed necessary on the fed's horizon, as Daniel Inouye, the chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, noted when he called the mammoth $787 billion spending bill "stimulus No. 1."
—According to the Bureau of the Public Debt, as of Aug. 20, after just the first 19 months of President Obama's four-year term, the public debt grew to $8.83 trillion, an increase of $2.53 trillion.

The doctor, the president and the birth certificate
"Officers in the United States military service are – and must be – trained that they owe their highest allegiance to the United States Constitution."
So, what does the officer presiding over Lakin's court-martial say in response to all this?
Army Col. Denise R. Lind, acting as judge in the case, has so far ruled that Lakin will be denied access to any of Obama's records as well as testimony from any who may have access to his records. Her reason for what amounts to denying Lakin the right to defend himself is, according to Lind, that producing such evidence about Obama in a military tribunal could be – and I'll quote her exact word – an "embarrassment" to the president.
Let's make this crystal clear: Lakin's whole argument is that the sacrosanct chain of command may well have been corrupted by a usurper – and millions of Americans agree he has valid reason to suspect this is the case. Yet the presiding officer in the hearing has ruled that neither Lakin nor his defense team may present any evidence bearing on Obama's eligibility to be president – because it might be embarrassing.
This is INSANE, allowing the defense no defense!

Tea Party Has Elites on the Run
When the elites weren't depicting their fellow Americans as out-of-control racists and anti-government zealots, they tried to downplay their social and political importance. They did so with a demographic attempt at marginalization; the tea partiers, they said, were too old, too white, too middle class to matter in contemporary America, and thus could be safely ignored.
This liberal critique of the tea partiers -- a dangerous mob, but of marginal importance in post-racial America -- is a curious paradox. Why fear and loathe a movement said to be narrow in its views and scope?

Christine O'Donnell's opponent has another Marxist tie
"I audited one class at Union Theological with Cornel West when I was at the Coalition for the Homeless in New York and realized I strongly needed and wanted some grounding in traditions and doctrines of my own faith," he said. In that interview, Coons also stated, "I have worked to make it clear that I respect and value those that have no faith in a higher being. I think it is an important principle in a pluralistic democracy."
West, currently a race-relations instructor at Princeton, is an avowed Marxist and senior member at the Democrat Socialists of America.
Meanwhile, Jeffrey Lord, writing at Spectator, points out Coons himself may have ties to Black Liberation Theology.
Previous media profiles noted that while doing relief work in Africa, the Senate candidate worked as a volunteer for the South African Council of Churches, or SACC, at a time, Lord wrote, when that institute was aligning itself with Black Liberation Theology.

Tibor Machan: Not all wealth redistribution is bad | wealth, redistributed, redistribution - Opinion - The Orange County Register
Statists often clamor for wealth redistribution, mostly implying that the wealth held by those who make or obtain it in the marketplace, without coercion, is in the wrong hands and must be transferred to other people or projects in dire need of it.
Yet if you look more carefully at wealth redistribution you find that the dispute really isn't about whether wealth should be redistributed. That's because wealth is nearly always being redistributed. You may get a buck for mowing someone's lawn but you usually take it to the mall or grocery store and make use of it by handing it over to someone else, who then is going to do the same, and this process just keeps going. Some of the stuff for which the wealth is distributed will be consumed but then the consumer will expand his or her time and energy to create some more wealth. It just keeps going round and round, wealth and its equivalent being endlessly redistributed unless the tax-takers disrupt the process. So if we are all vigorously engaged in wealth redistribution, what's up with the claim that it is only the tax-takers who do it? It is a lie, that's what.

41 Obama White House aides owe the IRS $831,000 in back taxes -- and they're not alone
Over the years a lot of suspicion has built up across the country about Washington and its population of opportunistic transients coming to see
themselves as a special kind of person, somehow above average working Americans who don't work down in that former swamp.Well, finally, an end to all those undocumented doubts. Thanks to some diligent digging by the Washington Post, those suspicions can at last be put to rest.
They're correct. Accurate. Dead-on. Laser-guided. On target. Bingo-bango. As clear as it's always seemed to those Americans who don't feel special entitlements and do meet their government obligations.
We now know that federal employees across the nation owe fully $1 billion in back taxes to the Internal Revenue Service.

CA Prop. 27 - VOTE NO
this measure will repeal California Proposition 11 (2008), which authorized the creation of the California Citizens Redistricting Commission. It would also modify the provision in California law that says that proposed congressional districts can't be subjected to a veto referendum.[3]
According to political journalist Shane Goldmacher, Democratic political strategists say that this initiative can be seen as a political tactic to defeat the Congressional Redistricting Initiative, which is likely to be on the November 2, 2010 ballot: "Democratic political strategists say the best way to ensure a 'no' vote this fall on the congressional [reform] measure]] is to confuse the public further with a second ballot measure on the already head spinning topic of political line drawing."[
Opposition
John Diaz, the editorial page editor of the San Francisco Chronicle, has written, " The proposed ballot language for the Financial Accountability in Redistricting Act makes the laughably absurd argument that this is about money: That a state facing an "unprecedented economic crisis" with a political leadership that "has failed us" cannot afford the cost of outsourcing this duty to a commission. A more honest title of this initiative, which is being conceived by a small group of Democratic insiders, would be the Incumbent Protection Act."[12]
The editorial board of the Daily Breeze recommends that the publication's readers refrain from signing the petition to put this measure on the ballot, saying, "...staying in office and party control of seats has become more important than representing the people who gave them those seats in the first place."[13]
Ian Johnson of The Rose Institute of State and Local Government at Claremont McKenna College says, "The California Democratic redistricting machine is worried. Led by Congressman Howard Berman and his consultant brother Michael, they controlled the state’s bipartisan incumbent-protection gerrymander in 2001. Now their control is threatened by an initiative that would place Congressional redistricting within the mandate of the Citizens Redistricting Commission. Congressman Berman and his allies are responding with a misleading measure aimed at confusing voters, apparently conceding that they cannot win the debate on the merits of their views...In one respect, FAIR is a positive sign: when the beneficiaries of the status quo are forced to resort to deception to preserve their positions, it is a sign they are desperate. Clearly, even they can see which way the winds of change are blowing."[4]
John Kabateck, executive director of the California branch of the National Federation of Independent Business. He says, "Enough is enough. Decades of cynical, self-serving behavior from politicians has helped plummet this state into a fiscal and economic abyss. We need to be able to hold our elected officials accountable when they don’t do the job we elected them to do. One way to ensure that politicians remain accountable to voters is by taking the power to draw political district lines from the very politicians who stand to personally benefit from the outcome."[14]
Campaign finance complaint
Supporters of the Voters FIRST Act for Congress have asked the Fair Political Practices Commission and the Federal Elections Commission to investigate whether some members of California's U.S. Congressional delegation are "hiding their controlling involvement in the initiative" in a way that obscures who is really behind it.[14]

Obama: Muslim Missionary? (Part 2) by Chuck Norris on Creators.com - A Syndicate Of Talent
To me, this interview — which took place March 27, 2004, when Obama was a candidate for the U.S. Senate — is by far the best documentation of Obama's faith. In it, Obama gave often lengthy responses about his faith and practice to a series of questions from then-Chicago Sun-Times religion reporter Cathleen Falsani, though he often seemed confused and even obtuse in his replies.
To the question "do you pray often?" Obama replied, "Uh, yeah, I guess I do."
"Guess"?
When asked whether he had read the Bible, Obama responded: "Absolutely. (But) these days I don't have much time for reading or reflection, period. ... I'll be honest with you; I used to all the time, in a fairly disciplined way. But during the course of this campaign, I don't."
In answering reporter Falsani's question about whether there was a role model who combined everything Obama said he wanted to do in his life and faith, Obama's first response was, "I think Gandhi is a great example of a profoundly spiritual man."
Gandhi? A Hindu? How about Jesus, seeing as Obama claims to be a "committed Christian"?
When Obama was asked pointedly, "Who's Jesus to you?" he immediately responded with a nervous laugh, followed by a rather sarcastic "Right." He proceeded, "Jesus is an historical figure for me, and he's also a bridge between God and man, in the Christian faith, and one that I think is powerful precisely because he serves as that means of us reaching something higher. And he's also a wonderful teacher."
Could that "reaching something higher" possibly be heaven?
In answering the question on whether he believed in a literal heaven, Obama retorted back: "Do I believe in the harps and clouds and wings? ...
What I believe in is that if I live my life as well as I can, that I will be rewarded. I don't presume to have knowledge of what happens after I die."

What American President Would emDo/em That?
Other presidents have been wrong. Other presidents have been misguided. Other presidents have been weak and pusillanimous and pathetic.
Only one truly disdains America. His name is Barack Obama.
How else to explain his latest outrage against the country that elevated him to the ranks of world leadership? Last week, the Obama State Department submitted a report to the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights on the supposed human rights violations taking place in the United States. According to the Washington Times, the report
describes how the United States discriminates against the disabled, homosexuals, women, Native Americans, blacks, Hispanics and those who don't speak English. There is the expected pandering to Muslims...the report notes that until recently, the U.S. engaged in torture, unlawfully detained terrorist suspects and illegally spied on Americans communicating with terrorists ... but the report assures readers that Mr. Obama has been putting a stop to all that.
This president is a waste of flesh!
'Systemic Risk' Stonewall
Chairman Phil Angelides and his panel will begin two days of hearings on the subject of "Too Big to Fail," featuring testimony from Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Chairman Sheila Bair. Across bailouts from Bear Stearns to AIG, the government has refused to release its analysis of the "systemic risks" that compelled it to mount unprecedented interventions into the financial system with taxpayer money. Two years after the crisis, Mr. Angelides and his colleagues should finally let the sun shine on this critical period of our economic history.
A year ago we told you about former FDIC official Vern McKinley, who has made a series of Freedom of Information Act requests. He wanted to know what Fed governors meant when they said a Bear Stearns failure would cause a "contagion." This term was used in the minutes of the Fed meeting at which the central bank discussed plans by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York to finance Bear's sale to J.P. Morgan Chase. The minutes contained no detail on how exactly the fall of Bear would destroy America.
He also requested minutes of the FDIC board meeting at which regulators approved financing for a Citigroup takeover of Wachovia. To provide this assistance, the board had to invoke the "systemic risk" exception in the Federal Deposit Insurance Act, and it therefore had to assert that such assistance was necessary for the health of the financial system. Yet days later, Wachovia cut a better deal to sell itself to Wells Fargo, instead of Citi. So how necessary was the assistance?
The regulators have been giving Mr. McKinley the Heisman, but two weeks ago federal Judge Ellen Segal Huvelle made the FDIC show her the Wachovia documents. She is still considering the McKinley suit, but the crisis commission doesn't need to wait for her decision. It should let all Americans read them now.
Then there's AIG. Who decided that firm was too big to fail, and on what basis? Last winter, Senator Jim Bunning went on CNBC and said that Mr. Bernanke's staff did not think AIG was too big to fail. "His staff didn't agree with him. . . . I'm talking about an email that he sent his staff after his staff recommended that the Federal Reserve not touch AIG," said Mr. Bunning.
In February, we sent a FOIA request to the Fed for an internal memo entitled "Issues Related to Possible IPC Lending to American International Group" and an email from Chairman Bernanke that included a draft of the proposal that he would soon present to the Fed Board of Governors to approve lending to AIG. Yesterday a Fed spokeswoman us it is still reviewing the request.
You could argue that the Fed has been a model of good government in handling our request compared to the way it has responded to TARP inspector general Neil Barofsky. Documents he's asked for were not produced and in some cases the New York Fed has told Mr. Barofsky that documents did not exist when in fact they did. Along with investigating the management of the crisis, the former prosecutor is also now investigating the withholding of information about the crisis.
What could the New York Fed be hiding? For one thing, a clear explanation of why it felt it had to bail out AIG. The story from regulators during the crisis was that credit-default swap counterparties had to be paid lest the financial system collapse. The public became incensed about 100-cents on the dollar pay-outs to big banks. Then last winter, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, who ran the New York Fed in 2008, said the real problem had been AIG's insurance business, threatening average consumers.
Writing in our pages in February, former New York Insurance Superintendent Eric Dinallo said that "policyholders would have been protected" in the event of an AIG bankruptcy. That seemed clear enough, but then Mr. Dinallo immediately added that an AIG bankruptcy "would have been bad for those same policyholders." So which was it? State insurance regulators and industry analysts have since told us that Mr. Dinallo was wrong when he suggested that policyholders would have suffered.
Two years after the bailouts and more than a month after President Obama signed into law new authority for the government to prevent "systemic risk," Washington still won't tell us what this term means. Releasing the history of 2008 would at least allow us to know what regulators thought it meant at the time, with lessons for the future. Is there any other reason for this inquiry commission to exist?

The Other Ground Zero Mosque: Flight 93 Islamic Crescent Memorial
We too need your help; we need to stop the National Park Service building another mosque in Shanksville. PA.
I served on the 2005 2nd jury that was commissioned to select a design honoring the passengers and crew on Flight 93. The public submitted over 1100 designs. The first jury went through those 1100 designs and selected 5 designs that were presented to the 2nd jury.
When I saw Crescent of Embrace, I immediately saw the Islamic symbols. I spoke out against the design and explained my reasons to the other members of the jury. The vote was taken, 9 for the Crescent of Embrace and 6 against that design. That vote was not unanimous.
There were 4 excellent designs left; there was absolutely no reason to select a design that even suggested Islamic symbols.
I knew that the public would agree with me when they saw the Crescent of Embrace design. They did, but our government would not listen or investigate our claims. All of our letters ended up in the same hands, the National Park Service. We can’t give up; we must stop this mosque being built in Shanksville, as well as the one in New York.

Little-known fact: Obama's failed stimulus program cost more than the Iraq war | Washington Examiner
* Obama's stimulus, passed in his first month in office, will cost more than the entire Iraq War -- more than $100 billion (15%) more.
* Just the first two years of Obama's stimulus cost more than the entire cost of the Iraq War under President Bush, or six years of that war.
* Iraq War spending accounted for just 3.2% of all federal spending while it lasted.
* Iraq War spending was not even one quarter of what we spent on Medicare in the same time frame.Read more at the Washington Examiner:

Philly requiring bloggers to pay $300 for a business license | Washington Examiner
In May, the city sent Bess a letter demanding that she pay $300, the price of a business privilege license.
“The real kick in the pants is that I don’t even have a full-time job, so for the city to tell me to pony up $300 for a business privilege license, pay wage tax, business privilege tax, net profits tax on a handful of money is outrageous,” Bess says.

Scofflaws cited for cycling on sidewalk
So Leslie and Duane Smith and Matt and Sharon Pierce hopped on their bikes, left their picturesque enclave in Newport Beach’s Bayshores Community, and ventured out into the “real world.”
The Pierces, who were at the front of the convoy, commented on how crazy things seemed. The officer said he wouldn’t ride in this area at all; it’s dangerous, and many accidents are reported; the Pierces smiled, thinking the officer was stressing how careful they should be riding their bikes. They were quite surprised when that officer soon pulled them over for riding on the sidewalk.
“Did he really need to use his sirens and lights for stopping 4 emerging senior citizens leisurely riding their bikes?” Leslie Smith asks us in an exhaustive email account detailing the incident. “We were treated like common criminals and issued traffic tickets, going so far as to fingerprint me as I had inadvertently left home without my drivers license. The police officer claimed that, according to CA Code 12.56.030 (A) NBMC, it is against the law to ride a bicycle on a sidewalk in CA, despite the ever present signs posted on the sidewalk along PCH that state ‘Bike Route – Bike Riding Permitted on This Sidewalk.’"

Dumbing down for Race to the Top | federal, standards, california
What a bad civics lesson for our children. In school, California's students learn that, under the U.S. Constitution, America has a federal system of government. The federal government performs certain functions, such as national defense, while most things "are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people," as the 10th Amendment mandates.
Education, obviously, is a state and local issue. But on Aug. 2, the California Board of Education knuckled under to federal pressure to ease California school standards. This was done when the board voted to implement the school standards for President Barack Obama's Race to the Top initiative. The new standards replace much more vigorous California standards. The unanimous vote of the 10-member board means that California now can qualify for a chunk of the $700 million in federal grants to state schools under the Race to the Top program. The board's vote promotes "California's high expectations and our belief that every student is capable of success in the classroom," Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said.
Is this happening in your state?

Jerry Brown a repeat offender on Ballots
Judges twice last week found ballot language prepared by Attorney General Jerry Brown to be misleading and ordered the wording stricken from sample ballots for the November election.
We applaud both court decisions. Voters now will receive more accurate summaries of two crucial November ballot initiatives – Proposition 25, which would reduce from two-thirds to a simple majority legislators' standard for passing a state budget, and Prop. 23, which would delay implementation of California's most Draconian global warming law.
But we are troubled by what appears to be the state's top lawman attempting to mislead voters in a way that also appears to favor his political agenda. This is all the more troubling considering Mr. Brown wants to be the next governor. But we are troubled by what appears to be the state's top lawman attempting to mislead voters in a way that also appears to favor his political agenda. This is all the more troubling considering Mr. Brown wants to be the next governor.
Something to think about before making your decision on who to vote for for Ca's next governor!
The Obama presidency increasingly resembles a modern-day Ancien Régime: extravagant and out of touch with the American people
It is epitomised above all by the President’s relentless drive towards big overnment against the will of the American people, and the dramatic increases in government spending and borrowing, which threaten to leave the US hugely in debt for generations. It is also showcased by Barack Obama’s drive towards a socialised health care system, which, as I’ve noted before, is “a thinly disguised vanity project for a president who is committed to transforming the United States from the world’s most successful large-scale free enterprise economy, to a highly interventionist society with a massive role for centralized government.”

Obama's Jobs Errors | Daniel J. Mitchell | Cato Institute: Commentary
Unfortunately, almost everything Washington's done the last 18 months has sent the opposite message.
The "stimulus" boosted federal spending, thus draining funds from private-capital markets and diverting resources from the productive sector of the economy. The main jobs that it "saved" were employees of state and local governments — shielding the public sector from pain even as it inflicted more agony on the private sector.
The health-care law is a cornucopia of new taxes, mandates and regulations — directly increasing the cost of hiring new employees (as well as of keeping old ones on). By telling employers that the cost of hiring is set to rise sharply in the years ahead, it makes them far more cautious about hiring.
The new bailout legislation, though labeled "financial reform," raises costs for financial firms, meaning loans will be more expensive. That is, investing in that truck or computer for that new hire will cost you more.
When Kagan Played Doctor
Elena Kagan's partial-birth abortion scandal.
Fourteen years ago, to protect President Clinton's position on partial-birth abortions, Elena Kagan doctored a statement by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Conservatives think this should disqualify her from the Supreme Court. They understate the scandal. It isn't Kagan we should worry about. It's the whole judiciary.

In Obama's Own Words
The pictures and words speak for themselves. This is a You Tube montage that highlights the 44th President's affinity for Islam. It clearly shows Obama's one-sided allegiance to Islam and his distortions of historical truth. As time passes, it would serve the Nation well to be reminded of Obama's inclinations.
Please view it before it is removed.
In particular, when Obama references the Muslim contribution to America, and says that he knows, too, that "Islam has always been a part of America's story" he might wish to review the following:
There were no Muslims on the Mayflower. There were no Muslim signatures on the United States Constitution or the Declaration of Independence or the Bill of Rights.
No Muslims fought for America's freedom from England. However, the country did fight against the forces of Islam in the form of the Barbary pirates.
Two Muslim slaves were brought to America in 1731 but both were returned to Africa. No Muslims fought during the Civil War to free the slaves in America. Muslims were, however, slave traders. In fact, to this day, Muslims are still the largest traffickers in human slavery in the world.

Democrat Voter Fraud is Far More Widespread Than You Think
How to Steal an Election
What we are seeing is the transplantation of Chicago politics to communities throughout the nation that are completely unprepared for the level of fraud and intimidation that can be generated by thousands of unethical Democrats, including private citizens, local, state, and federal officials, and politicians, convinced that breaking the law is okay as long as the “right” candidate wins.
On July 6, American Thinker published an article by Lee Cary about an interview with a Chicago political machine insider. It contained the following warning:
“In Chicago, the Precinct Captains watch to see who votes and who doesn’t. Then, at the end of the day, others will cast votes for those who haven’t shown up to vote, all under the direction of the Precinct Captain. If the actual voter shows up later, they’re given someone else’s card. The Republican poll watchers don’t stop this. Hell, most of them are actually Democrats.”
The Democrat Voter Fraud Playbook is as follows:
1.ACORN registers the names, legitimate or not.
2.Black Panther, SEIU and other “community organizer” groups intimidate people, especially minorities, from voting Republican.
3.Voter lists remain unscrubbed of felons, dead people, and illegal immigrants.
4.On Election Day, precinct workers submit any unused ballots for Democrat candidates.
5.Democrat officials and politicians pretend like nothing happened.
It’s as easy as that to steal an election.

Now Is The Time To Stand Up for 2nd Amendment
Below are three bills that passed the State Assembly (over my objections in committee and on the floor). These bills are now awaiting action in the State Senate. While the Senate is on a break, find your State Senator and tell them to vote for freedom and against these three bills.
AB1934 seeks to punish citizens for engaging in the legal act of openly carrying an unloaded handgun. If California had a reasonable concealed carry law that was consistent and fair there would be no need for citizens to carry a gun in open.
AB2223 seeks to outlaw the use of lead shot when shooting or hunting in state-run wildlife management areas. Anti-hunting groups want to make it harder to hunt and this bill would do it.
AB1810 seeks to establish a Canadian style registration system, similar to the one currently in place for handguns, for all newly-acquired long guns. Under AB1810 require the Attorney General to keep the make, model and serial number of the firearm as well as the identifying information of the purchaser on file. If only the British had such a list!

No welfare for those awaiting trial
The pretrial services system was designed for indigent arrestees who could not afford bail. Pretrial release is also sometimes called "detention release" or some refer to it as "released on (the defendant's) recognizance (ROR)." Usually, the three benchmarks for such release are:
•The defendant is not considered a danger to the community.
•The defendant is not a flight risk.
•The defendant is indigent and cannot afford bail.
Unfortunately, like so many government programs, pretrial release has ballooned into an overwhelming bureaucratic system that allows tens of thousands of arrestees a "get out of jail free" card without having to pay any bail, no matter what their financial resources may be. The pretrial services program employs thousands of public employee workers and serves to puts private bail bonds companies out of business.

NRA-ILA :: Statement by Wayne LaPierre Executive Vice President, NRA and Chris W. Cox Executive Director, NRA-ILA Regarding U.S. Supreme Court Decision EMMcDonald v. City of Chicago/EM
Today marks a great moment in American history. This is a landmark decision. It is a vindication for the great majority of American citizens who have always believed the Second Amendment was an individual right and freedom worth defending.
The Supreme Court said what a majority of the American public believes. The people who wrote the Second Amendment said it was an individual right, and the Court has now confirmed what our founding fathers wrote and intended. The Second Amendment -- as every citizen’s constitutional right -- is now a real part of American Constitutional law.
